Chapter Two

That night ...
"Here's your french vanilla latte." Mook, Win's friend, said putting the iced coffee on the table in front of him before sitting across from him
Win is now in the café that is owned by Mook
Win nodded at her, "Thanks."
"Will you be able to fall asleep after drinking that?" Mook asked, raising an eyebrow
"Yeah, don't worry." Win smiled at her
Mook asked, "How was your family dinner?"
Win shrugged, "It went fine, just as usual."
Mook sighed then smiled at him
"You carried on just fine as usual, rather." said by her
Win just shook his head in amusement and took a sip of his latte
Mook nodded at him, "How are you holding up, huh?"
"You know, I never wanted any of this." Win shook his head
Mook said to him, "I know that, I surely know that."
Win chuckled, "But what can I do? All these years, I'm still trying to be back on my mother's good side."
Instead of speaking, Mook stood up and sit on the arm rest of the chair and hugged Win
Win laughed, "What? Why?"
"Just felt like hugging you." Mook shrugged, still hugging him
Win hugged her back, "Alright."

"What am I gonna do first this morning, Book?" Win asked as he sit down on his chair in his home office, in his penthouse
"You need to be present in the city's gymnasium at 10 in the morning, sir, as they give out the reliefs you've donated." Book said while looking at his note pad
Book handed him a piece of paper, "Here's your short speech for that." Win accepted it and looked at it,  he nodded at Book to continue
"Then your next schedule will be on lunch. It's the opening of a restaurant and Mr. Bright will also be there." Book slowly said the last part
Win looked away, "Sure, he will." he scoffed
Book continued, "You have a free time till 6 in the evening after and by 6 PM, you should start getting ready for your family dinner at 7 PM."
Book added, "I suggest you to enjoy your free times while you're having them, sir, because the closer the election day comes, you'll get busier."
"I know, Book, thank you." Win nodded at him
"Your iced coffee is already on your table, sir. If there's anything else, I would be just right outside." Book bowed down
"Thanks again, Book." Win said and gave him a permission to go outside

"Force, today is the opening of that restaurant, right?" Bright asked, entering his home office
Force nodded, "Yes, sir." then he added, "Mr. Metawin will be present, as well."
Bright tried to hide his smile as he nodded, "Alright."
Just when Bright was about to start reading his personal e-mails, his phone rang

Bright answered the call, "What?"
"Well, what a way to answer the call." Nani rolled his eyes
Bright laughed at his friend then he sarcastically said, "Good morning then, what can I do for
you, sir?"
Nani laughed, "That's more like it." then he asked Bright, "I'm coming back today. Do you have some free time to meet me?"
Bright responded, "Let me know what time you want for us to meet."
"I'll arrive at my place by 6. So, how about we meet at 8?" Nani suggested
"In the usual bar?" asked by Bright
"Yup." Nani answered, popping the 'p'
Bright uttered, "Alright, I'll be free by that time."
Nani chuckled, "Well, that's just about right. I'll see you tonight, bro."
Bright said back, "See you."

Win reached the city's gymnasium with Book, of course.
All of the people immediately greeted him
Win smiled and waved at them while he was on his way to the stage
He held the mic and said with a smile, "Good morning, everyone."
Then he said the short speech that Book prepared for him, the people clapped when he finished saying his speech
"Once again, thank you. I promise that this won't be the last and that there will be more to come soon." Win smiled and handed the mic to Book
He went down the stage and walked up to his staffs who were giving out the reliefs to the people
He asked one of his staffs, "Everything is well?"
"Yes, sir." She nodded with a smile
Then Win helped out giving the reliefs.

Win took a seat and Book gave him a bottled water
"Thank you, Book." Win said, opening it
"Do you think we've prepared enough? I'm afraid that there would be people who are not gonna be given." Win took a sip of his water
Book said, "I think, we've prepared enough, sir. Van number 4,5, and 6 are still full of big boxes. But if there's still people who didn't have a chance to get, I'll tell the staffs to note down their names so, the next time, they would be given first."
Win nodded at him, "Hmm, that works. Thank you, Book." then Book went to the staffs
Win's phone rang, he put it out from his pocket

Phuwin 🍏

Win answered the call, "Hmm? Why?"
Phuwin asked, "P'Win! Are you busy right now?"
"Kinda, but I got a little bit of free time." Win's answer
"Uhm, I just want to ask you a favor—more like our school's favor, actually." said by Phuwin
Win nodded, "I'm listening."
"Uh, our school will hold a band contest next week on Friday 'cause it will be our school's foundation week and my band is competing —"
Win stopped him, "Hold up there. Your band? Phuwin, —"
"Phi, calm down. We've talked about this, right? You gave me your permission to lead a band and besides, I'm only enjoying it while it lasts because I won't be allowed to join any band anymore the moment I go to college." Phuwin said, cutting him off immediately
Phuwin added, "Mom knows about this. I guess, dad too?"
"Continue with what you were saying." said by Win
Phuwin continued, "My band is competing and our principal is hoping that you can come as a guest, you won't be a judge of the competition, 'cause that's gonna be unfair for the other bands that will compete against us."
Book gave Win a signal that they need to go, Win stood up and waved goodbye to the people
"You sure you want me to watch you?" Win teased his brother, they are now walking out of the gymnasium
"Come on, phi, you think I'm not that good? I won't make you feel embarrassed of me." Phuwin said in a bragging way
Win entered his car and said, "See? That's what you're good at, at bragging."
Phuwin laughed at that then he said, "The competition will start at 3 in the afternoon. Spare some time for me on that day, okay, phi?"
Win hummed, "Hmm, I will."
