Chapter Twenty Three

Win was busy reading some document when someone knocked at his door
"Yes? Come in." Win said, not even bothering to look away from the paper that he was holding
Mook opened the door and knocked on it again to get Win's attention
And she did, Win looked at her
Win smiled, "Hey."
Mook smiled back and closed the door after entering
"How have you been doing? You sure are a one busy man now." Mook chuckled, making her way to Win's table
Win stood up to approach her, "I'm sorry if I didn't come to your café these days." then he opened his arms for her
"Psh, what are you saying? It's totally fine." Mook rolled her eyes and lightly hit his chest before hugging him
"And besides, someone has been sending you products of my café, your favorite orders, I must add." Mook teased Win while they are pulling away
And Mook raised up the paper bag that she was holding
"Yeah, yeah." Win rolled his eyes and shook his head in amusement
"I decided to be the one to deliver this to you." said by Mook
"And tell me everything about it." she spoke again, dragging Win to the sofa
She added, "Your things to do can wait." then she put down the paper bag on the coffee table
They sit beside each other
Win let out a sigh, "Alright." then he started, "Remember when we had dinner at my place?"
Mook nodded
"That night, he asked me if he can court me and obviously, I said yes." Win shrugge
Mook squealed and pushed him and said, "You should've made him wait even just for a day."
Then she nodded, "Continue."
Win continued, "He never fails to make me feel that I am valued and appreciated."
"Even though he's busy, like really busy, he'll make time for me." Win couldn't help but to smile
Then he added, "I'm even thinking to myself if I really deserve this kind of treatment from him."
Mook held his hands, "Hey."
Win gave her an assuring smile, "It's just a thought don't worry."
He added, "I won't rush things. I'll let everything unfold in its own pace."
Mook smiled back and nodded
"I'm so happy for you, my love." Mook said, hugging him
Win could sense that Mook was about to cry, he laughed and hugged her back
Win smiled, "Thank you, my Mook, thank you so much."
Their moment got interrupted when Win's phone rand
They pulled away from each other while laughing
Win put his phone out from his pocket

Mr. Mayor BVC 🙄

Mook said, "Go, answer it."
Win shook his head in amusement before answering the call
Win hummed, "Hmm?"
Bright asked, "Hey, sweetheart. Did you already receive the breakfast I bought for you?"
Win turned to the other side to hide his now blushing cheeks then he answered his question, "Yes, I just did. Mook even delivered it here herself." he composed himself before facing Mook again
Bright asked, "Oh, yeah? So, she's still there right now?"
"Yes. Say hello to her." Win said before putting the call on loudspeaker
Bright politely said, "Hello, P'Mook."
Mook said back,  "Hi, Mr. Mayor."
"Please, just call me Bright." said by Bright
Then he followed, "And thank you for delivering Win's breakfast."
Mook said, "Don't mention it. I also had to talk to Win 'cause he doesn't go out to see me."
Win rolled his eyes and shook his head in amusement
Bright laughed at that
Mook smiled, "And thank you as well for buying from my café."
Bright uttered, "No worries, P'Mook."
Then he snickered, "Win might get mad at me if I buy from another café."
Win immediately butted in, "Hey, not true!"
Bright and Mook laughed at him
"I'm just kidding, baby. I also prefer P'Mook's café over all of the other café's out there." said by Bright
Mook widened her eyes and looked at Win
"Uh, hey, don't you have a meeting to attend to right now?" Win quickly asked that while looking at his wrist watch
Bright answered, "I'm on my way to the conference room as we speak."
"Then I'll just talk to you later, yeah? Thank you for the breakfast. Bye." Win said and quickly ended the call
Bright smiled, he shook his head in amusement and put his phone inside his pocket

Mook squealed, "Did he just call you baby? Oh my gosh!"
Then she added, "Win, how are you managing to handle him? If it was me, if a very handsome guy called me baby, I would've folded!"
Win laughed at her and lightly flicked her forehead, "And you even ask why you're single."
Mook touched her forehead while pouting
