Another week has passed

This update was supposed to be last night but it slipped my mind 'cause I lost track of the day

The next day ...

Bright was having breakfast with his family
"Hey, you two." Bright said, referring to his brothers
The two looked at him at the same time
He said, "Meet me in my office before you go to school."
Pond uttered, "Okay, phi."
Joong nodded
Their mother asked him, "Are they in trouble?"
Bright chuckled then he smiled at her, "No, ma, don't worry about it."

Bright opened the door to his home office and his brothers followed him inside
Joong closed the door
"I will be quick. Force will be here in 10 and we have to leave immediately." Bright said, looking at his wrist watch
He added, "I talked to Win last night." that caused his brothers to be surprised
Pond nervously asked, "What did P'Win say?"
Joong followed, "Was he mad while talking to you?"
"Uhm, no. He's letting you two to be with his brothers —" his brothers' cheers cut him off
Bright rolled his eyes and let out a sigh, "Hey, calm your asses down."
"But if you guys hurt them even just once, I know you both know what will happen. So, don't mess up." Bright patted their shoulders
His brothers gladly nodded, "Yes, phi."
Joong hugged him, "Thank you, phi."
Pond also did the same thing
Bright patted their backs, "Yeah, yeah. Just don't let me down."

Win was busy signing a pile of papers when Book knocked
"Come in." Win said, he didn't stop what he was doing
"Uh, sorry to disturb you, sir, but madam is here." Book said, making Win to look at him
"Send her in." Win said, nodding at him
Book opened the door wider and Win's mom entered his home office
Book bowed down before leaving
Win uttered, "Mom." then he stood up
"Sit down, Win." his mother said and sit on one of the visitor's chairs in front of Win's table
Win slowly sit again on his swivel chair
His mother asked, "When are you planning to talk to your younger brothers? Are you even planning it at all?"
Win answered, "Mom, I'm planning on it."
His mother immediately followed, "When then?"
Then she sighed, "Fine, I'll stop asking about it now."
"How's your campaign going? At this time, shouldn't you be out there campaigning?" asked by his mother
Win politely answered, "I just finished my last campaign schedule this morning."
"Win, —"
Win softly cut her off, "Mom, I don't wanna overdo it, okay? If people really wants to vote for me, they will, no matter what."
Wina slowly nodded, "Then, I'm done here." his mother stood up and faced him
"Your talk with your brothers, you better plan on doing it before this week can even end. We couldn't have a proper family gatherings. It's either you, Phuwin, or Dunk will be absent." she said, shaking her head
She added, "I'm tired of stressing about it."
Win politely nodded, "Yes, mother."
He stood up to walk her mother to the door
"Book." Win said, opening the door of his office
Book immediately went to them
He said to Book, "Mom is leaving now."
Book bowed, "I'll walk her out, sir."
Win uttered, "Thank you."
His mother gave him one last look before walking towards the door
Win closed his office's door and let out a sigh

After that, he couldn't focus on what he was reading
Win let out a sigh for the nth time today, he laid back on his chair and closed his eyes while massaging his temple
He knows to himself that he gotta let it out
He tiredly reached for his phone from his table, he unlocked it and went to his contacts
He tapped his P'Tay's number then he suddenly remembered, 'Oh, he's currently on the flight to Berlin.'
He switched to Dew's number and thought, 'He's surely still in class at this time'
Then he went back on scrolling through his contacts
'I don't wanna bother Gemini, I don't want him to be mad at mom'  Win thought.
He also couldn't bother Book as he already has a lot on his plate because of Win's mayoral candidacy
He had no choice but to tap Bright's number and he tapped the message icon

Hey, I know this is very sudden. But, you free?

Win sent it without any hesitation.
Not a minute has passed when Bright replied

I just got back in my home office but I definitely have time for you.

What's up?

Can we meet? I just need to talk to someone.

Sure, sure. Where would you like for us to meet?

At the small playground inside the park?

Meet me at 9 PM.

The small playground is located at the center end of the park.
There won't be a problem if they meet there, no one goes to that part of the park at that time

Got it. See you. :)

Win didn't bother to reply again.

9 PM.
Win arrived first
He sit on one of the single swings and just blankly stared at nowhere while waiting for Bright
The said man arrived, trying to catch his breath
Win raised an eyebrow at him, "Why are you panting?"
Bright looked at him and spoke after finally catching his breath, "I don't wanna be late."
Win rolled his eyes and shook his head at the same time in amusement
Bright sit on the other single swing beside him
"I'm sorry if I asked you to go here. You should've been resting at home by now." Win let out a sigh
Bright assuringly said, "I totally don't mind. So, please, stop thinking about it."
Win said, "I just need to let this out. My siblings got their own things to deal with so, I don't wanna add that up."
He added, "And I don't want them to be mad at mom just because of my rants about her."
Win glanced at him and continued speaking, "And also, the reason why you're the one I called is because I know you'd understand me."
Bright nodded at him with a smile
Bright softly asked, "What happened today, hmm?"
"My mother went to my home office. She rarely does. She came earlier in the afternoon. She asked if I'm even planning   to talk to my brothers and of course, she asked how's my campaign going ..." Win let out a sigh again
Then he sadly smiled, "She came just for that, she didn't even ask about my wellbeing."
Win added, "Even though I'm used to our situation by now, but it doesn't mean that it won't hurt any less."
He kept on speaking, "Hey, I'm not telling you all this for you to feel guilty, alright? As I've told you, I forgave you already. It just seems like my mother can't let go of the past yet."
Bright gave him an assuring smile, "I'm certain that your mother still cares about you as her son, Win, trust me."
"It may not look like it now but to her inner self,  her love and care for you didn't fade away, not even for a second." Bright added, slowly caressing Win's back
"And if I would be given a chance to talk to her, I wouldn't waste it." Bright sighed then let out a small smile, looking at the front
Bright looked at Win again, "So, just hang in there. Eventually, this situation of yours will be better."
Win couldn't help but to hug Bright, catching Bright off guard but as his hand was already on Win's back, he directly wrapped it on Win's waist
Win whispered, "Thank you, Bright."
He added, "You don't know how much you made me feel better."
Bright said, "I'm glad I could be a help to you."
