Sunday.
Win just woke up, he immediately left his room and walked down the stairs
His family might be waiting for him so, they could all eat breakfast together
Win asked his father, "Oh, dad. The breakfast is not ready yet?" his father was in the living room sitting on the sofa while reading a newspaper
His dad smiled,"Good morning, son."
"And yes, they're still preparing breakfast." his father answered, trying to stop himself from smiling widely
Win reached the floor and raised an eyebrow at his father then he uttered, "But it's almost 8."
His father said, "We got a new chef for this morning, son. Let's cut him some slack." that caused Win to be confused more
Win shook his head and decided to check the kitchen himself
Gem's back was facing him as he was sitting on the stool by the kitchen counter
Then he saw his mom and Bright busy with cooking, their backs were also facing him
Win raised his eyebrow at the sight then he cleared his throat, catching their attentions
"You're up now. Good morning, son." Wina smiled, walking towards him
"Good morning, phi." Gem also greeted his P'Win with a smile, Win smiled back at him
Win asked, "What's happening?" he looked at his mom then at Bright
Bright greeted him, "Uh, hi. Good Morning."
Win just gave him a nod
Wina asked his son Win, "Are you hungry? We're almost done." gently dragging Win to sit beside Gem
"Where are the others?" Win asked, referring to his siblings
He sit on stool beside Gem
"Your P'Tay is surely still sleeping, Phu, and Dunk are playing badminton in the backyard and
Dew is watching them." his mother's answer and went back on Bright's side
Win stared at Bright's back then he thought, 'What is he doing? Is he trying to make it up to me?' he crossed his arms
"Phi." Gem called him in a low voice
Win softly looked at his brother, "Hmm?"
Gem whispered, "You know, P'Bright got here really early. They're taking this long to cook because P'Bright wanted to make everything from scratch and mom is gladly helping him."
Win slowly nodded at that
Wina clapped her hand, "Breakfast is ready."
Then they started to put all the foods on the table
"Gem, sweetheart, can you kindly call your brothers in the backyard? I'll go wake your P'Tay up." said by Wina
Gem gladly nodded, "Sure, ma."
Wina ruffled Gemini's hair, "Thank you, dear." then they left the couple alone in the kitchen
Bright went back on standing in front of Win to remove the apron that he was wearing
"It is Sunday today. You should be staying home and resting." Win said, looking everywhere but Bright
Bright smiled, neatly folding the apron and put it back on the drawer
Bright said, "You know I'd rather have all my Sundays like this."
"Woah, Bright cooked all of these?" Tay's reaction upon seeing all of the foods on the table
Bright gave him a wai, "Please, enjoy them, phi." Tay did the same thing back
Then Tay teasingly smiled at Win, "Our Mr. Mayor is down bad, huh?" Bright chuckled at that
Win rolled his eyes, "Good morning to you too, P'Tay." Tawan chuckled at him

Dunk said, "Thank you for the food, P'Bright."
Bright smiled, "Oh, please, I didn't do much. I'm sure auntie did a lot more than me."
"Not really. It was the other way round." Wina said, making Bright chuckle
Dem said, "We'll surely enjoy them, Bright." then he started to eat
Bright politely said, "Thank you, uncle."
Win who was sitting beside him was just quietly enjoying the foods
Dew spoke, "These are all P'Win's favorite breakfast foods."
Phuwin teased Win, "Our phi is being really spoiled." and Phuwin was about to speak again when Win cut him off by putting a spoonful of french toast in his mouth, the two were sitting beside each other
They laughed at them
Win uttered, "You're talking too much, Phu."
Phuwin playfully glared at his P'Win while chewing the french toast
"Hey, eat more." Bright said, putting more foods on Win's plate
Win mumbled, "Thank you."

Win went back to his room after eating
"Bright, son, come on, drink some tea with me in the backyard." Dem patted Bright's shoulder and gave him a cup of tea
"Thank you, uncle." Bright politely said, accepting the tea
He followed him to their backyard then he sit across from Win's father
Dem asked him, "How have you been doing, son?"
Bright politely answered with a smile, "I'm doing okay, uncle. Thank you for asking."
Dem nodded, "That's good." then he added, "I'm glad to hear that you're doing okay as I know being this
city's mayor it's never an easy role to do."
Win's father asked, "How are your projects going anyway?"
"Everything's going well, uncle, there's just this one small problem but I can handle it." Bright's response
"Let me know if there's anything I can help you with." said by Win's father
Bright slightly bowed, "Will do, uncle, thank you."
Dem chuckled, "How about with my son Win?"
Bright let out a small laugh, shaking his head
"He's obviously mad at me, uncle." Bright said, smiling
Bright added, "And he's got the right to be. I unintentionally did something wrong and I understood why he got mad because of that. Hopefully, at the end of this day, he won't be mad at me anymore."
Dem nodded,"I'm sure of that."
"What are you guys talking about?" Wina arrived, holding a cup of tea then she sit beside her husband
Bright cleared his throat before speaking, "Now, that auntie is also here ..."
He nervously continued, "I'll take this chance to bravely ask for Win's hand in marriage." and that surprised Win's parents
Bright continued, "But you don't have to give me the permission right now, auntie and uncle. I'm just letting you both know in advance that I have plans to settle down with your son."
Wina  slowly nodded at him
Win's father said, "Thank you for considering on asking our permission first, son."
Bright politely said, "I have so much respect for the both of you."
Win's mother started to be teary as she said, "Thank you for loving our Win, Bright."
Bright gave her a warm smile, "Not a problem, auntie."
Dem said, "And you have our permission. We all want you to be the one that Win settles with and I'm sure Win feels the same way." Wina agreed to her husband
Bright bowed, "Thank you, auntie and uncle."
He added, "I won't let the two of you down. I'll assure you I'll take care of Win just like how you are taking care of him."
Dem smiled, patting Bright's shoulder

That day, Bright also cooked their lunch.
After eating, Win stayed in his room the rest of the afternoon
He doesn't know if Bright already had gone home or not
He was sitting on his bed, leaning against the headboard while editing something on his laptop
He heard a few knocks, causing him to stand up and he opened the door
He was slightly shocked to see Bright
Bright was holding a tray of foods, ham with cheese and lettuce croissant sandwich, french fries, and an iced lemon tea
"Uh, you might want to eat some snacks?" Bright said, holding up the tray
Win gestured him to come in, Bright walked inside and Win closed the door after him
Bright carefully put the tray down on the rectangular coffee table
Then he faced Win, ready to go
"Eat with me. I can't finish all of that alone." Win said, sitting on his 2-seater sofa
Bright nodded and quietly sit beside him
"Are you seriously planning to be our chef for the whole day?" Win asked, slicing the one croissant sandwich
He gave the other half of the sandwich to Bright
Bright uttered, "Thank you."
He continued, "And yes, love, I'm not even sure if that will be enough to make it up to you."
Win looked away then took a bite of the sandwich
Bright kept on speaking, "I am truly sorry. I shouldn't have lashed out at you. It shouldn't been at anyone. I'm now making sure to always keep my emotions in check."
Then he asked Win, "What else do you want me to do, babe?"
Win finished eating half of the sandwich while Bright's remained as is
Win held Bright's wrist and gestured him to eat his sandwich
Bright started eating his sandwich
Win started, "I'm sorry too."
Win continued, "Just so you know, I didn't say all that to make your feelings invalid and if it did, I'm sorry for that as well."
"I just want you to learn how to handle your emotions better." Win was playing with his fingers, looking down at it
Bright put the sandwich back on the plate for the meantime, he dusted off his hands then he slowly held Win's hand, causing Win to look at him
Bright gave him an assuring smile, "It didn't make me feel invalid, babe."
He added, "I am actually thankful that you said all that to me. I've learned from it."
Win smiled and hugged him
Bright laughed, hugging Win back
Win uttered, "I've missed you."
"I've missed you more, love." Bright uttered back, kissing Win's hair
Win suddenly said, "I want linguine pasta with clams tonight." that caused Bright to laugh
They pulled away from each other and Bright smiled, "Anything you want."
Then they continued eating
