Saturday.

They were gonna meet Des and her parents over dinner.

Win asked his boyfriend, "Do you usually bring 5 personal body guards with you wherever you go?"
They were on the way to the restaurant, they were riding a black Range Rover then there was another
black Range Rover behind them
Bright answered, "Yes, babe, but sometimes, if I'm heading to a more accessible area, I'll bring 10 of them."
"We're almost there, sir." Force, who was in the passenger seat, announced
Bright uttered, "Thank you, Force."

Bright and Win entered a private dining room of the luxurious restaurant
"Please, take care of my crew outside." Bright whispered to the waiter who opened the door for them
The waiter politely said, "Will do, Mr. Mayor."
Bright smiled at him, "Thank you."
Bright and Win walked towards the table in the middle of the room
Des and her parents stood up to greet them appropriately
"At last, Mr. Mayor." Des' father said with a big smile, holding out his right hand
Bright accepted the older man's hand, "Mr. Costel, nice to finally meet you."
Mr. Costel said, "The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Mayor."
Then he added, "Let me introduce my wife. Mrs. Ally Costel."
Bright gave her a wai, "Good evening, Mrs. Costel."
The older woman did the same, "Good evening too, Mr. Mayor."
"Then my daughter, Des, which you've already met." said by Mr. Costek
"Hello, Mr. Mayor." Des smiled and waved at Bright
Win fought the urge to roll his eyes
Bright acknowledged her, "Des."
"Let me introduce my dearest companion tonight." Bright looked at Win and smiled
Win simply widened his eyes at Bright and beat him to it, "Uh, Good evening, everyone."
He gave them a wai, "I'm Win, Win Metawin. I hope I'm not intruding."
Mr. Costel smiled at him, "No worries about it."
Des cut in, "Let us sit now."
Mr. Costel sit on the chair at the head of the table
Bright and Win sit across from Des and her mom
Mrs. Costel said, "We've already ordered all of their special dishes, I hope you guys don't mind."
Bright politely said, "No, not at all. Thank you, Mrs. Costel."
Mr. Costel spoke, "You're kinda familiar, Khun Win."
Win politely smiled, "You might've seen me with my dad. He's Dem Opas-iamkajorn."
Mr. Costel widened his eyes, "Oh, Dem is your dad?"
Then he laughed, "What a small world." and he added, "Now, I remember you."
Mr. Costel continued, "He's a great man, a funny one too."
Win softly laughed, "Well, yes."
Bright was just smiling while watching Win talking with the older man

In the middle of their dinner, they started to talk about the deal
Mr. Costel said, "From what I've heard from my daughter and from what I've read on the documents, this idea of yours is really excellent."
He asked his wife, "Right, hon?"
"Yes, I love it." Mrs. Costel's response
Bright politely said to them, "Thank you."
"Thus, we have already signed the agreement." Mr. Costel said, returning one copy of the contract to Bright
Bright said again, "Thank you so much, Mr. and Mrs. Costel."
Mrs. Costel said, "All the pleasure is ours, Mr. Mayor."
"Told you it's already a done deal, Mr. Mayor." Des said, making Bright chuckle
'Okay??' Win thought, taking a sip of his red wine
Mr. Costel asked Win, "Well, what do you think about our Mr. Mayor's plan, Khun Win?"
Win looked at him and smiled, "I also think that it's an excellent idea."
Bright smiled as well
"Good businessmen think alike." Mr. Costel gave Win a thumbs up
Win gave him a wai, "Thank you, Mr. Costel."
"Alright, now I'm kinda interested in knowing how you and Mr. Mayor got to know one another." Mrs. Costel said with a smile
Des followed, "Must be friends since then?"
'Oh, dear, I bet you'd cry after knowing the truth.' Win thought.
Mr. Costel laughed, "Well, it's alright, you guys don't need to answer it."
Bright snickered, "It's fine, Mr. Costel."
"Yes, we're friends since college." Win answered, surprising Bright
Win looked at Bright and snickered, "But we are now more than friends, aren't we, Mr. Mayor?"
Bright smiled at Win, "Yes, we are."
Mr. Costel reacted, "Oh, wow."
His wife said, "You guys are so cute!"
"You are so lucky, Khun Win. You gotta be careful though. Don't let our Mr. Mayor slip away." Des meaningfully said
She even added, "I'm sure there are a lot of people out there lining up for him."
Mr. Costel said, "Well, of couse, look at him."
"I'm sure there are also a lot of people out there whole likes Khun Win."
Mr. Costel continued, "You two make a good couple." Mr. Costel continues
Bright politely said, "Thank you, sir."
And Win smiled

End of the meeting.
Mr. Costel held out his right hand, "Thank you so much for your time Mr. Mayor and Khun Win."
He added, "I'm looking forward for this partnership."
Bright accepted his hand, "Thank you as well, Mr. Costel."
"You really don't need to thank me." Win smiled, shaking the older man's hand
"It was nice to meet you." Mr. Costel said to Win
Win slightly bowed his head, "Likewise, sir."
The two gave a wai to Mrs. Costel which Mrs. Costel did the same back
Des smiled at Bright, "See 'you' again in the next meeting, Mr. Mayor." she even held out her right hand
The way she emphasized the word 'you' didn't go unnoticed by Win
Bright just smiled back and accepted her hand
"Oh, my parents surely forgot to get your phone number. Can I get it on behalf of them?" Des asked, handing her phone to Bright
Win fought the urge to roll his eyes as he kept on scrolling on his phone
Bright was about to get her phone but Win beat him to it
"Our Mr. Mayor is a very busy man." Win said while typing in Force's phone number on her phone
"You should check in with his secretary first to know when he's free to meet you, dear." Win gave her a sarcastic smile, putting her phone back on her hand
Des looked at him with disbelief
Win looked at Bright, "Shall we?"
Bright nodded, "Yes, sure."
They met Mr. and Mrs. Costel outside of the private room
Bright informed them, "We'll be going now."
"Thank you once again, Mr. and Mrs. Costel." Bright gave them a wai, Win also did the same
The old couple did the same back

On the way to Win's place, the whole car ride was silent.

"Babe, can we talk about what just happened back there?" Bright asked, entering Win's penthouse
He followed him to the living room
"Oh, so, you were really gonna give her your personal phone number?" Win faced him
Bright answered, "Yes." then he added, "It's just for business anyway."
Win couldn't help but to scoff
Bright calmly asked, "Sweetheart, do we really need to fight about Des?"
"I know that you can see how much she likes you." Win said instead
He continued, "And you're doing what? You're just turning a blind eye to it."
Bright sit on the sofa, "What am I supposed to do then, baby?"
Bright added, "I just can't be rude or something."
"I am planning to run a business to make our city's economy to grow more and I'm gonna be needing her parents' help for that." Bright staood up again, facing Win
Win shrugged, "Then you could've at least stopped her advances on you."
Bright let out a heavy deep breath, "Des is a nice person, Win."
Win scoffed for the second time, "And I'm not?"
"I'm trying to make a good partnership, babe. So, please, let's end this conversation here, okay?" said by Bright
He added, "And stop thinking about it. We're fighting over just a nonsense thing."
"I'm tired. You know your way out." Win tiredly said, turning his back on Bright
"Can't you try to be more understanding for me?" Bright asked, making Win to stop in his tracks
He continued, "Or am I asking too much?"
"I've been as understanding as I could be, Bright." Win answered, not even bothering to look at Bright
You know it was getting really serious when they started calling each other by their names
Win let out a dry laugh, "You want me to just stay still?"
Then he uttered, "Fine then."
"Win." Bright called him but Win ignored him
Bright said again, "Love, please."
Win still ignored him and just went straight to his bedroom
