- Camp Zerobaseone Part 1 -

"While we're setting up, you can rest for a bit. Then we'll call you when we need to shoot again."

There wasn't a single member of ZB1 who wasn't happy to hear that, but Hanbin was especially grateful for the rest, since he had been driving all day. That on top of filming entertaining content for ze_rose, left him feeling quite drained. He definitely needed some time away from the camera. They had just arrived at Hongcheon, and no one knew what they were going to do next. Hanbin didn't think much about it, assuming it was probably going to be something fun, just like their other tasks throughout the day. Instead of theorizing, he focuses on the company he wanted to keep, jogging up to Matthew, who was walking off with Jiwoong and Yujin.

"Hey." He says, grabbing him by the shoulder.

Matthew stops and turns to face him, his expression becoming awkward as he clearly forces a smile. "Oh hi hyung."

In turn, this leads to Hanbin also feeling awkward, and he struggles to continue the conversation.

"I'm going to go rest now." Matthew states, not wasting another second before he joins Jiwoong and Yujin again.

This wasn't the first time Matthew had been off with him, at this point they were practically strangers once the camera's were off. He first noticed it towards the ending of boys planet, but it was never to this degree. More common than not, Matthew avoided him when the camera's weren't rolling, even in their practices and free time at the dorm. The distance was clear, and Matthew was the one who put it there.

It hurt Hanbin a lot, because Matthew was someone very special to him. They had been friends for years, and getting to debut together felt like a dream. Although, there was one other reason this was so difficult for Hanbin to accept. He didn't know when the romantic feelings started growing, but they had been with him for a while. Matthew was the most caring, funny and adorable person he had ever met, it was no surprise to him that he had ended up falling in love. Unfortunately, telling Matthew wasn't an option, he didn't want to ruin their friendship, and now they were debuting in the same group, it wouldn't be possible to be anything more than friends.

He didn't mind having to hide his feelings, as long as he still had Matthew by his side. However, that wasn't the case anymore and he had no idea why. What had he done that had pushed Matthew away? He constantly wondered this, but could never find an answer.

"I don't think standing here counts as rest." Hao's voice snaps Hanbin back to reality. He hadn't realized that he'd been glued to the same spot for the past few minutes, but it wasn't the first time Matthew had caused him to get lost in his thoughts like this. "I'm going to go sit down, you coming?"

Hanbin nods, and follows Hao over to a patch of grass under a large tree. It was nice to get out of the sun for a while, and really appreciate the beauty that surrounded them. It would have been way more comfortable though, to be out of these suits. He glances to Hao, who was busy on his phone. "How long do you think we'll stay in these suits?" He asks, as he pulls off his blazer.

"I don't know, but don't you think Jiwoong looks amazing in a suit?" Hao shows him a picture of Jiwoong on his phone, it seems that Jiwoong didn't know the picture was being taken.

"Did you take that?"

"Yeah-" Hao flips the phone back to himself, pulling it close to his face. "Wow, he's so handsome even when he's not doing anything. Ugh we'd look so hot together!" He flops back into the grass, clutching the phone to his chest.

Hanbin laughs at the man's dramatics. In some way, it was relieving to have a friend going through his own set of love troubles. At least he wasn't alone in it all.
