Ricky's eyes glimmered with excitement, flecks of crystal like snowflakes reflecting in his vision. His heart was pumping uncontrollably, body itching to get outside in that pristine white powder. His whole street was covered, every rooftop, every tree- you couldn't even see the ground. There had to be at least 2 feet of it. He almost couldn't believe it. The weatherman had been predicting snow for weeks, but every morning Ricky woke up in disappointment. He waited all year for his favorite season, just to see the snow again, and this couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Both him and his boyfriend were off work today, so there was nothing stopping them from going out and playing to their hearts content.
For a mere second, he tore his eyes away from the window, sending his voice shooting down the hallway. "Hanbin! It snowed last night!"
"Huh? What did you say?"
"It snowed last night!" Ricky repeated himself louder.
"I'm sorry Ricky, I can't hear you."
With a small huff, Ricky bounced to his feet, and hurried to his bedroom. He expected to see Hanbin still in bed, but got the exact opposite of that. His lips broke into a confused, yet endeared smile, seeing that his boyfriend was already up and ready to go out in the snow.
"What is this?" He chuckled, noticing the clothes splayed out over their bed.
"I prepared this all in advance." Hanbin replied, picking up the pink patterned jumper that lay across their sheets. He holds it up beside him, showing off how it matched his blue one, the only difference being the colour.
As Ricky took more glances between his handsome boyfriend and the bed, he noticed that the jumper wasn't the only thing that was matching. The black floor length padded jacket Hanbin was wearing, was in a white variant for Ricky, they both had gloves that coordinated with their jackets, and while Hanbin's bobble hat was blue, Ricky had one in pink. By far the most adorable additions though, were the identical blue and pink scarfs, that Hanbin's mother had knitted them as an early Christmas present.
"Do you like it?" Hanbin asked, sounding slightly nervous.
Ricky realized that he hadn't shown much of a reaction, but he really liked what Hanbin had done. "I do, very much." Ricky giggled, throwing his arms around Hanbin. He placed a sweet kiss on his lips, which brought a smile to Hanbin's face.
"You better get ready, we've got a long day ahead of us." Hanbin leaned in for another kiss, then left the room to let Ricky get changed.
Ricky was seriously blessed with the best boyfriend in the world, because Hanbin always went above and beyond to make him feel special. The outfit was so cozy and warm, just perfect for the weather, and looked adorable too. Once he was dressed, Ricky hurried to the kitchen, where Hanbin had prepared them some hot tea, to warm them up before going outside in the snow.
It wasn't long until Ricky grew impatient though, and ditched the tea, in favor of getting the day started. He took Hanbin's hand and lead him outside, where the cold morning wind swirled around them instantly. Hanbin made sure to check Ricky's coat was properly zipped up, which had Ricky's heart skipping a beat, as he loved how caring and attentive his boyfriend was. Their shoes sunk into the deep snow as they walked, each step heavy, but filled with laughter. Sure it was cold, but they didn't mind, they were just happy to be out in the snow.
Hanbin turned to Ricky with a soft gaze, his hands naturally fixing Ricky's scarf. "What should we do first?"
"That's such a hard question." Ricky whined. There was so much he wanted to do, but what to do first? It was an impossible choice. Although, as he was thinking, his eyes happened to veer off to the snowy hill in the distance. He was instantly reminded of the conversation he had with his friends a few days ago, and the choice became easy. "Lets go sledding!"
