A/N - Didn't get to finish this before Christmas, but I really like it, so...better late than never😅

Gyuvin confidently strode down the central isle of the auditorium, his demeanor cool as ever. He had one hand buried deep into the pocket of his denim jacket; the other sweeping through his luscious brown locks. He didn't feel nervous in the slightest, especially hearing how all the girls squealed once they caught sight of him. Popular? tick, Handsome? tick, charming? tick. He was practically born to play the charismatic male lead. There was no doubt in his mind that he'd leave today with the role he wanted, I mean, his teachers would be crazy not to cast him.

Half way down the isle, Gyuvin spotted his less than enthused blonde friend sitting among the seats. "Wow, you got here first." He smirked, taking the seat beside him. "Don't lie, you're excited to find out what role you got, aren't you?" He couldn't resist teasing him, knowing that he only auditioned because he lost a bet.

Ricky scoffed, his eyes narrowing on Gyuvin. "I swear if I get stuffed into a Christmas tree costume, I'm gonna kill you."

"Why me?" Gyuvin asked in shock. "You're the one who made that bet with Yunseo."

Ricky tilted his head. "So?"

"So kill him instead."

"Oh trust me, I will."

Gyuvin broke into laughter at Ricky's deadpan tone, and though he could sympathize with his friend, he was kinda hoping Ricky's nightmare would come into fruition. As much as he feared for his own life, he'd also been burned by some of Yunseo's bets, so he wasn't opposed to seeing Ricky beat his ass.

With a small sigh, Ricky slumped back in his seat. Murder slowly drifting from his mind. "I still don't get why you want to be a part of this. The play is so cringe this year."

Although it came across like mindless hate, Ricky's opinion wasn't too far from Gyuvin's. The play this year was almost a carbon copy of all those cliche romance films that play around Christmas time. Big city girl comes home to her small town for the holidays, where she meets a handsome guy and learns to love Christmas again. Sure, it was a bit cringe, but it didn't stop Gyuvin from wanting to be a part of it. As long as he got that lead role, he didn't care what the script was like.

Gyuvin shrugged. "Better than doing the nativity I guess."

One can only play Joseph so many times before he realizes he's an atheist.

"Not if I'm stuck in a Christmas tree costume." Ricky groaned, and once again, Gyuvin was laughing at the thought of that.

He smirked, tapping his friend patronizingly. "Well not all of us have what it takes to be a leading man."

"And you do?"

Gyuvin found his mood tanking the second he heard that voice. That annoying, cocky, grating voice. The one that had his eyes rolling, before he was even aware of it. Swinging around, He saw none other than his long term rival, Park Gunwook, sprawled across the row behind him.

"I hate to break it to you Gyu, but I've seen brick walls with more charisma." Gunwook snickered, throwing his arms over the seats to his side. He leans back, ungraciously spreading his legs, leaving no room for anyone else to sit.

If his presence wasn't bad enough, Gunwook had a mouth that made people wish they were deaf. Who was he to make comments like that? The kid couldn't act to save his own life. "Bad luck Wookie, charisma is the last thing you should be dogging on me for." Then, like magic, the mere flash of his smile got all the girls around him squealing. He didn't need to say anything more, his proud smile the last thing he let Gunwook see, before he turned back around.
