"Did Shane really take someone's life?" Loriatte could barely believe her ears.

She knew her kungfu panda boss had evil in him, but taking a person's life was something she did not see.

"Not the first either," the man said nonchalantly. "If the boss hasn't already killed him, he most likely has a more dreadful fate in mind. It would be in your best interest to let go of the case before more people you care about suffer."

"You let us worry about that." Loriatte rolled her eyes, tapping Zayden's hands for him to let her go which he did reluctantly.

"Who is this 'boss' and where is he hiding Shane Mason?" Zayden questioned.

The man shrugged, "unfortunately for all of us here, the boss only reveals himself to an exclusive group of people that he trusts with his life, the rest of us just take orders from those who were given orders. I only know these bits of information because even criminals gossip," the man said with a chuckle.

"I beg you to point out what's so funny," Loriatte scoffed.

Doug clasped his hands together, having the attention fall on him to avoid another murder attempt from Loriatte.

"Anything else important you want to share with us?"

He pondered on the thought for a minute, he already snitched, might as well just go all the way through with it.

"Well, there's this night pub down Main Street, it's actually a cover for a lot of gang meetings. I know for a fact that some of the upper rank guys that have at least gotten a glimpse at the boss or are aware of Shane's whereabouts are going to be there tonight for some major meeting to collaborate with this big out-of-town gang. You might get some answers there."

"You're not talking about The Craze by any chance?" Loriatte asked.

"That's exactly what I'm talking about," he nodded with a smirk at the fact that she knew about such a place.

Zayden's eyebrows shot up in surprise, as he pondered how and why Loriatte would possess such knowledge about a place like that. Before he could ask, she quickly pulled him out of the room.

"Let's go."

"Wait a moment, could you please explain?" He asked her once they were out of the room.

"I went there once, obviously with Kris because she's terrible-was terrible at picking hang out spots. I accidentally stepped on a man's foot-because I dance with two left feet-and had a gun pointed at me, never went back."

"If we're going to work together, you two need to stop running out on me," Doug yawned as he followed behind them, signaling the officer standing guard to lock the man back up.

"You should take it as a sign of us not wanting you here," Zayden said, not caring if he sounded rude.

"So rude, and for what?" Doug mumbled as all three of them shuffled into an elevator where they rode in silence till the first floor.

"This club sounds a bit dangerous, are you sure you want the little lady to come with us?" Doug questioned Zayden as they walked through the department lobby.

Zayden was about to respond when Loriatte beat him to it.

"This little lady has a name, and I'm sure I can handle myself, thank you very much."

Doug snorted in amusement, then reached his large hand out to ruffle her curled bangs, "sure, little lady."

Loriatte scowled and smacked his hand away. As soon as they exited the building, she snatched Zayden's car keys from his grasp, deftly unlocking the parked vehicle. Without wasting a moment, she plunged into the comfortable passenger seat, and waited for him.
