🕵🏿♀️
Loriatte woke up the following morning feeling like a train ran over her, and to make matters worse, a loud and endless thumping was coming from the bedroom door.
She looked over at the clock on the vanity, and it read 6:15.
In the fucking AM.
"What the actual hell??" She grumbled between gritted teeth before angrily throwing the blanket off her and then stomped over to the door, swinging it open.
"It's six in the bloody morning!" She snapped at Zayden who looked down at her with his resting nonchalant face.
When she caught his eyes roaming over her body, she realized that she was clad in SpongeBob boxer shorts made for boys, along with a dark brown long-sleeved pajama top that nearly blended with her complexion.
Feeling exposed under his scrutinising gaze, she immediately wrapped her arms around herself as if that did much help in covering up her body, causing Zayden's green eyes to shift back up to hers.
"Boohoo, get dressed we have places to be," was all he said before giving her body one last once-over and then walking off.
With a frustrated huff, Loriatte slammed the door shut, fed up with his behavior. She was so close to launching a grenade at him out of anger. So close.
He needed to be careful around her.
I mean it wasn't even as if he was doing much, he barely even talked to her.
The problem was that the few words he did say to her were consistently rude and insulting, causing her to react defensively.
It was so damn frustrating to always have to engage in a game of verbal sparring with someone who was both conceited yet at the same time very gorgeous to look at.
One moment you want to punch him in the face and the next you want to kiss all over his perfect face.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Now that's what we're not gonna going to do, okay Loriatte!?
Loriatte chastised herself inwardly for entertaining negative thoughts about the enemy she had no choice but to work with.
It was only her first morning with him and he was already getting to her head.
On the bright side, at least nothing too serious happened the previous night, after he gave her a tour of the penthouse- telling her what each room was and where she could find what- he was nice enough to order take out for the both of them, which they both ate in their respective rooms.
Loriatte quickly dried off with a towel after her shower, then smoothed on a nourishing moisturizer that had cocoa butter and a hint of vanilla.
She then dressed in a simple but cozy ensemble consisting of a pair of blue jeans, a long sleeve plain white shirt, and a comfortable grey cardigan, then tied it all together with a simple pair of white Nike sneakers.
Coming out of the bedroom given to her, albeit temporarily, she descended the staircase of the luxurious two-story penthouse and came upon Zayden, who was eating a sandwich in the most angriest way Loriatte had ever seen anyone eat.
Only Zayden could enjoy food but still look so pissed off while doing it.
"Why are you always so angry?" She gave him a side eye as she collected the ingredients to prepare her own sandwich after noticing that her lovely host hadn't prepared anything for her to eat as well, "impressive hospitality you've got there by the way," she threw shade at him with a note of sarcasm.
