Can't help but fall in love (Bowser x Princess Reader)

Y/N's POV

You feel Sweat go down your cheek and your (H/L) hair wave behind you as you jump from tree to tree. You don't slow down when your dress gets ripped up from the twigs poking out of the branches. Your on a mission and you can't afford to waste time. Your on a little journey to the Bowser's castle. Not to have tea with the guy or anything, you're coming over to take back what's yours.

Earlier today, Bowser's minions had invaded the Cloud kingdom, your kingdom, and had stolen the Flurry Cloud. An artifact that gives you, your family, and your citizens the ability to walk and live on the clouds. Luckily no one got hurt when everyone fell out of the clouds but now you couldn't get back home.

As you looked up to the clouds, you got to see the Dark land's king himself, gloating about their great "accomplishment". At that point all you felt was anger. He just committed a crime on another kingdom and he was proud of himself?

Then he looked down and you both made eye content second, and for a second you mood switched. For a second you hoped that by seeing how he affected another kingdom, he would change his mind and return what he had stolen. For a second you hoped that he would apologize and everybody would be on friendly footing.

Instead he only hesitated for a moment before turning his attention back towards his minion. Next thing you know, they fly off on their airship and your once again consumed with rage.

Later on you and your family decide to have a meeting to figure out what to do next. You suggest that the cloud kingdom should fight back and take back what's y'alls but your idea gets shut down immediately.

"So we go their and what?" You remember your older brother say "Get our butts handed to us?"

"He's right" Your older sister replies. "Our kingdom isn't ready to go to war with the Dark Lands."

Your other sister, the oldest in the family, sighs. "I think it's best that we help get shelter for all of our citizens. Surely they are just as confused and scared as we are..."

At that point the other three began to talk about where they would go and how long they would be able to stay their but you were only half-listening. You already made up your mind about what you were going to do. You would save your kingdom no matter what.

Luckily the nearby Mushroom kingdom was very hospitable and were more then happy to house the cloud kingdom temporarily. However when everyone else was sleeping in their rooms, you sneaked out and started your journey to the Dark Lands.

Now you've arrived at Bowser's castle. You observe the perimeters. You had to admit the Dark Lands didn't look half bad. The bare trees and the glowing red lava gave the kingdom a sort of beautifully spooky look. Plus his castle looked cool as heck! But enough praise for the kingdom, you were on a mission to save your kingdom, remember?

You shifted through the castles interior as you sneaked past a few Koopa Troopas. The first thing you noticed about this place was just how hot this place. Sure Bowser probably loved the heat considering he's a fire breathing turtle but this is ridicules! Soon enough, you find where the flurry cloud was located. It's in plain sight with no one guarding it too. You sort of figured that obtaining the artifact would be more of a challenge but hey, you weren't complaining.

As you walked closer, you couldn't help but laugh. You couldn't wait to see your siblings reactions when they found out that their little sister was able to bring back their precious Flurry Cloud and all by herself, no less.

However, your amusement is short lived when you realize that your feet are coming off the ground and are instead above your head. You look up and you see a rope holding onto you. It was a trap. You groan as you hear the sound or rushed footsteps get closer.
