Happy Fathers Day! (Peach & Toadsworth)

(It's fathers day and Peach wonder's who she can celebrate the day with. Peach is, like, 7 in this story and Toadette is 12.)

"So what are you going to do for your father on Father's day" asked the younger Toadette.

"I was think about it for a while" replied a blue and purple toad girl "I'm make him a special jack-in-the-box. He's obsessed with those things so I might as well make one for him. What do you think?"

"Wow a whole Jack-in-the-box!" Toadette exclaimed. "You think you're going finish in time?"

The blue toad smirked "I'm the best toy maker from this side of the kingdom, plus it's almost finished anyways, don't worry about it" Toadette nodded "Besides what are you doing for Father's day?"

Before Toadette could respond a little voice behind them spoke "What's fathers day?"

They both looked at the source of the voice. It was no other then the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom herself, Princess Peach Toadstool.

"Princess!" they both exclaimed, bowing to her.

"Have you never heard about Father's Day before, Princess?" Peach shook her head.

"Well its basically in the name" Toadette's friend piped up happily "Father's day is when you celebrate your dad and show your appreciation for him".

Peach's expression saddened and she looked down at the ground. Toadette hit her friends side with her elbow. "OW! What was that for!?"

"The king and queen DIED remember" Toadette hissed

"Oh.." her friend whispered back, covering her mouth. She looked at the princess and immediately felt guilty. "I-It doesn't ONLY have to be about your biological father though" The blue toad exclaimed "It can be any adult or guardian who cares about you".

Peach still looked at the ground but was now thinking about what the blue toad said "So I could celebrate Father's Day with anybody?"

"Yes!". The two toads nodded their heads. Peach looked up and her expressing brightened. "Okay" She nodded as she ran to the inside of the castle. "Thank you!".

"Bye princess!" Toadette shouted. The two toads waved goodbye. Peach had a good idea of what she was going to do tomorrow.

Peach woke up the next day and rubbed the sleepiness from her eyes. What was today again? Peach stretched in bed and looked at the calendar filled with writing and x's, pointing out important dates. She was a princess, she had to stay organized. She looked at today's date and immediately was filled with joy. She threw the covers off her body.

"IT'S FATHERS DAY!"

It was true, Peach didn't have a dad nor a mom. So she had to choose someone else to celebrate fathers day with. There were many male toads in her life who helped her in her life but there was one toad she definitely knew she would celebrate today.

"Toadsworth!" Peach barged into Toadsworth's room. She knew she was taught to knock but she was to excited to care. "Toadsworth, wake up! You have to go to the meeting with the Sarasaland emperor and empress!"

Toadsworth didn't respond at first but slowly got up from his bed "Princess, What did I tell you about barging into people's rooms" Toadsworth lectured.

"Sorry Toadsworth" she said bashfully. Toadsworth could have said more but Peach was too cute and Toadsworth was to tired to stay mad at her.

"Alright, alright I'll be ready in a second"
