Anamika's POV

After dinner, Alex dropped me home and left saying that he would love spending some more time with me, but he had some work to take care of.

When we were driving back, he said that he fell for me at first sight. And his love grew as we spent more time together. He also told me that at first he thought he would keep it a secret or maybe let it develop slowly. But apparently he saw someone taking advantage of me in the dance floor when I was drunk and then he couldn't control his feelings when I kissed him.

Thinking about all this I didn't remember when I fell asleep.

It's been ten days since our dinner "date" and this guy is just making my heart flutter everyday.

He comes every morning to pick me up to drop me in lab, then during lunch he comes to pick me up for lunch and on days he's unable to come he sends his assistant, Dave to pick me up and then we will have lunch together. Oh..and that's same with the dinner. A few days ago I had some extra work to do at lab and he waited for me till 11 at night.

Though there are times when I just don't want to eat outside and drag him to my apartment and then cook for both of us, after which he stays for the night. To be honest, this feel as if we are actually dating. We hold hands, and he randomly gives me pecks and kisses here and there.

And it is becoming irresistible to say no to him. Plus damn!! My feelings for him getting stronger day by day, no matter how much I try to control them.

As I got out of the lab, I saw Dave standing near his car, passing me his biggest smile. He's a bit silly and comfortable to talk to. Also, he knows how to speak Hindi. He's part Indian. Apparently, his mother's father was Indian, so whenever he visits them, he has to talk to them in Hindi.

He drove me to Alex's office, while we chatted a bit. By now almost everyone in this company thinks I'm their boss's girlfriend or something, because the smile and courtesy all the employees are giving me is equivalent to what Alex gets.

As I entered his office, I placed my bag and jacket on the sofa and went towards the book shelves to take out the book I started last time I was here.

I grabbed the book and walked to the sofa and started reading from where I left last time.

I came out of my concentration when I heard a knock on the door. Alex never knocks. I mean this is HIS office and he doesn't have to knock. I let out a small come-in and saw a bulky guy enter.

"Ms. Sharma, my name's Benedict. You can call me Ben. Mr. Gray sent me to take you home. He suddenly got some urgent work and has to go. Also he sent for this as an apology and said would come to find you as soon as he is done with his work." He said as he handed me a box.

Well looks like I gotta eat alone today. Seriously I lost my appetite because we wouldn't be eating together today. Guess I'll just go home and sleep.

"Then I'll be in your care Ben." I said with a smile and followed him to the car.

10 minutes later, I realised that we aren't heading into the direction of my home. I decided to voice out my thoughts and said "Um..Ben..this isn't the way to my house."

"Oh..boss said it would be better to take you to his house, since it would be safer for you." He said with his eyes on the road.

I just nodded and looked out of the window. Well this might be a good chance to see Alex's house. Although he's been to mine soo many times that he practically lived there, I've never been to his house. And every time he said "home" he referred it to my apartment so when Ben said he'll take me home I thought he would be taking me to mine.

I sat back in the seat as the all the tiredness from the day took over me and I fell asleep.

So I really wish I could get them married and have a happily ever after right here without any twists and turns.

But being the mafia story. It can't be just about main characters falling in love and having a nice sweet ending without any blood sheds.
