Third Person's POV
After dropping Anamika to her lab. Alexander made his to his mafia's grand villa where most of his men live and work. But the basement of this villa is an underground dungeon, where all those who are captured are tortured, either for information or just for entertainment purposes.
And one of them is Chloe Walter. Who arrived here just a few hours ago.
When she was leisurely resting in her bed last night, delighted that she got rid of the thorn between her and Alexander.
But to her shock, her room's door was burst open and she was dragged like a big bag that's too heavy to carry.
She cried out to her parents and brothers, but no one came to her rescue. From the beloved only daughter of a wealthy family, she became a prisoner.
No one dared to move as they watched her getting dragged by people.
As Alexander entered the dungeon like basement, muffled voices can be heard. As he moved further into the end of the room, screams and desperate crying of people entered his ears. A slight, cold smile appeared on his lips as if he was listening to some soothing music.
He entered the room at the end of the hall in which a girl was tied to chains against the wall. Mark placed a chair for him to sit and stood next to the girl along with Ben.
The girl had quite a few bruises and wounds from which blood was oozing out of the body.
"Wake her up, Ben." Alexander ordered in his cold voice.
Ben threw boiling water on her with a cold smirk on his face. The girl jolted awake as even if the burning of her skin wasn't enough to wake her up, the pain of hot water touching her open wounds would definitely do the job.
"Ahhhhhhhh...!!!!" her scream was so loud that it resonated for quite a while in that dirty basement. Looking at the frown between Alexander's brows, Mike slapped her against the face and said "Scream again and get ready to be fried alive."
As soon as Chloe heard that she froze and looked at the owner of the voice. Her gaze travelled to everyone in the room and as soon as she saw the man sitting on the chair, her eyes went wide.
"Mr...Mr. Gray." She started trembling when she saw the cold half smirk made it's way onto his lips.
"Miss Walter, let me ask you a question. If you answer me honestly, I may consider letting you keep your worthless life." Alexander said in his cold voice. The gentle one he used to say goodbye to Anamika was nowhere to be found. As if he wasn't the same person who was refusing to let her get out of his arms earlier.
A chill ran down Chloe's spine as she couldn't even let out a sound and could only nod.
"Why did you attacked my wife?" he asked in a calm voice, but there were unconcealable fury in his eyes. And Chole's eyes almost popped out of their sockets when she heard the word 'my wife'.
Although she wasn't the only one who was shocked hearing that. Even Ben and Mark were stunned and thought 'when did you got married to her?'
"Your...your w-wife?" Chole asked still in disbelief.
Alexander didn't explain but just looked dead into her eyes as if it was obvious.
Mark internally facepalmed himself and Ben stood there speechless.
As if realising the meaning behind his word, she composed herself and pretended to know nothing about it. "Ahaha..I thought you were going to ask something serious but I never expected to joke with me like this. Mr. Gray, I never heard of you ever getting married." Her tone became more confident as she spoke.
Alexander raised an eyebrow as if he was looking at a fool who was inviting death to take her. A creepy smirk form on his lips as his voice again rang into the cold, damp room. "Let me rephrase my sentence for you Miss Walter. Why did you hire men to attack Anamika?"
Chloe's eyes widened in disbelief. How did he found out so soon? She thought.
"Wh-what are you talking about? I-i don't understand." Chloe stuttered at his cold voice that held power and anger. No. Not anger. It was rage. The Alexander Gray sitting in front of her may seem calm and collected but his eyes held the blazing fire of rage.
That was the moment Chloe realised that the man she loved for so many years wasn't even close to half of the gentleman she imagined him to be. He wasn't a gentleman but a dangerous beast. And if you messed with him, you will neither be able to live nor be able to die.
Tears filled her eyes again as she decided that her only option was to beg for an easy death. "Mr..Mr. Gray. I'm sorry. I know i shouldn't have done that. I..I just wasn't in my right mind. I know i deserve to die. Please let me make up to you with my blood. Please Mr. Gray."
A cold smirk appeared in his face as he got up and turned towards the door to leave. He gave Ben and Mike a small nod and left the place.
After that a ground breaking screams were heard throughout the basement.

I've been away for quite a long time. And yeah there were many reasons for me to not write. But the major one was definitely I had a writer's block. I know how I wanted to proceed with this story but this chapter was hard.
I wanted to make Alexander look like that dangerous man he was supposed to be. Not the gentleman he is around Anamika.
And since I'm done with this part. I'll go back to them and see how i should unfold the story.
Also, there's another story of mine (The Last She-Wolf) that's completed but has only 8 chapters available here. If you want to read that you can use the link on my bio and you can read by paying bare minimum since I can't publish it anywhere for free.
Also I'll be uploading chapters of this story in advance there.
And if you are able to support me you can get access to early chapters. But I'll be posting here so there's no need to.
See you soon. <3
