Ha-rin

Lee Know and Han lead the way down the stairs, being on the look out for any zombies that came jumping at us. But since the rain and thunder was so loud, the monsters couldn't hear us.

I could feel myself tremble with fear under and I'm assuming Hyunjin felt it to because he held my hand tighter.

We made it outside with no interactions with anything, but we ducked down behind a bush out of sight. "Shit." Lee Know hissed under his breath.

"What's happened?" I.N asked.

"Right there." Lee Know whispered through gritted teeth. I poked my head up and saw a zombie so very close by to us. I watched it as it stumbled the other way. "Ok, it's gone now." I told him.

"Are you sure?" He said.

"If you want to be more careful, we should stick to the side of the school."

Lee Know looked up at the building and then nodded. "Turn around, we're going across the garden." He hissed to the other side of the line.

Bangchan nodded and now he was the one that was leading us to the auditorium.

We stayed close to the school, but kept low behind the bushes so we didn't catch any zombies attention.

We stopped where a crashed truck was and ducked behind that, but stayed in the shadows so we weren't seen.

Han chuckled lightly to himself. "They look so weird." He said.

"Shut up!" Lee Know snarled at him.

"We're gonna have to go under, I'll go last. Felix, go." Bangchan said. Felix nodded and crawled under the truck. Seungmin went next the Changbin and then Clara. Hyunjin's go was next. He gave a quick glance over the top and then froze. "Mum?" He whispered. I stared up at him and then followed his gaze. There stood his mother, staring up at the trees in her own world. But only she wasn't in her own world, she doesn't have a working mind. "Hyunjin." I said calmly to him. I tried to grab onto his hand but he pulled it away.

"Shit." Chan whispered. "Hyunjin, you gotta go, there's more coming this way."

"Mum!" He yelled, which got all the zombies attention. They all snarled and started running at us, even his mother.

Seungmin and Changbin started to kick her away and Hyunjin quickly climbed over the top of the truck and ran towards them. "Stop!" He screamed and tried to pull them off her, "Fuck! I said stop that!" He managed to pull Seungmin off and he fell to the ground, but he couldn't get Changbin.

"Hyunjin!" Felix yelled and ran over to him. I quickly climbed over and helped Felix calm Hyunjin and pulled him away from his mother who was lying on the ground like she wasn't feeling any pain. "Get off me!" Hyunjin yelled as he twisted to get out of mine and Felix's grip.

"Hyunjin, no." I tried to say, but seeing someone I've known for so long die, really does hit you right in the stomach. "Mum!" Hyunjin broke down crying as everyone else was fighting the zombies away.

"Guys, we need to leave now." I.N told us and everyone else started running. Felix and I tried to get Hyunjin up off the ground, but it was like he was stuck there. He stared at his mother as she wriggled on the floor, trying to get herself back up. "Hyunjin, we need to go." I told him and finally dragged him up off the floor and the three of us followed the others to the auditorium.

We finally caught up and we continued running up the hill, and those zombies not so far behind us.

I glanced behind me to see that Han had tripped over and Clara and ran off into a different direction. "Fuck." I whispered under my breath and ran towards Han. "Clara!" I called out for her but I didn't get a response. I helped Han up and together, we sprinted to catch up with the others. "Clara's gone." I told them all, "she the wrong path through the trees."

No one said anything, but I could tell that they were frustrated with her.

We made it to the auditorium and we locked the doors as soon as we entered, but I.N and Clarity stood and gazed into the darkness of the room.

"What's wrong?" Changbin asked.

"Run." Clarity told us and a flashed of lightning beamed through the windows and we all saw why she said that one word.

A soccer team of zombies all swayed, but snarled as soon as they heard the lightning and then they saw us.

"Into the equipment room now!" Bangchan yelled and we all sprinted into the room, Changbin, Bangchan and Hyunjin staying back to fight the zombies away and once the three had made it to the door, we closed it and we locked it. All you could hear was each other panting for breath. 

"Hyunjin, I'm so sorry." Seungmin spoke up gently, "I didn't know that was your mum."

"Me too." Changbin whispered.

Hyunjin stared at the ground and then leaned against the wall and slid down it. I could tell he was about to cry, but he didn't want to. He didn't like crying in front of people. Except for me
