Worthy of love

Welcome Home.

Max walked back inside the hospital and sat on the opposite side of the room from the party.
"Max" El whispered walking towards her and sitting down on the chair next to her.
Max ignored her so El just got up mumbling as she walked away.

A couple hours later a doctor informed them that Lucas woke up but only family was aloud in the room right now. Of course the party  didn't listen and went in anyway.

Lucas smiled softly as he saw his friends walk into the room. His face lit up seeing Max.
"Dude you saved me!" He said holding his hand out for a high five.
Max giggled softly rolling her eyes a bit while she returned the high five.

"How are you doing?" Dustin asked sitting down on the chair next to him.
Lucas shrugged gesturing to his leg.
"I'm getting a prosthetic so it's not to bad" Lucas announced.

An hour or so later Lucas's parents walked in the room and the party decided it was the best decision to leave the hospital and let Lucas be with his family. They were all waiting outside for their parents to come pick them up and take them home.

"Max" El said sitting down on the curb next to her.
Max didn't say anything or even look at her.
"Im sorry..I didn't mean anything I said..I was just stressed out..are we okay?"
Max shrugged looking at the ground.
"I love you" El whispered.
Max looked up at El quickly.
"You love me..?"
El smiled softly while nodding a bit.
"Of course I do.."

Max giggles nervously her face a shade of crimson red.
"I love you to" she whispered.
"Well that's good to hear" El said smiling.
Max giggles and laid her head down on Els shoulder.

Hopper than pulled into the hospitals parking lot and the two girls along with Will got in the car.
"Is he okay?" Hopper asked.
"Lucas is Alright" Will said while yawning a little.

"I'm really sorry Max I didn't mean to be that rude to you.." El whispered.
Max shrugged.
"It's alright" She said smiling.

The whole ride home the girls talked in the back having fits of laughter occasionally.

The next day the kids decided to go to Lucas's house and throw him a welcome home party even though he was only gone one night.

Max and Will were cooking and baking some food while the rest of them set up decorations.

Once they all finished the kids all sat down on the couch waiting for Lucas to arrive back home.
"What if we give him a heart attack!?" Mike blurted.
Max glared at him while rolling her eyes.

A car pulled in the driveway so all the kids shut of the lights and hid somewhere.
"welcome home!" They all yelled in unison as Lucas came through the door. He was in a wheelchair since his prosthetic wasn't ready yet.

Lucas face lit up.
"Holy shit!" He yelled looking around at the decorations and the table full of food.
"Let's party" Dustin yelled turning on some music.
Max giggled glancing over at El she pulled her closer by her waist.
"I love you" Max whispered kissing Els forehead.
"I love you more" El said smiling down at her.
Max faked gasped.
"No you don't!"
El giggles.

After a couple hours the party had danced, ate, played games, pillow fights, and even watched a movie but know they had to clean up there mess.
Will groaned rolling off of the couch.
"This is a huge mess" Max complained looking around the room.
Balloons were popped everywhere, none of the decorations were on the walls, plates and wrappers were sprawled across the floor, and even cotton from the pillows were everywhere.

"Okay..why is there food on the floor" Mike complained through a groan.
"It's probably because of you!" Will said looking around.
"I'll help as much as I can" Lucas said looking around as well.

Max and El cleaned the decorations while Lucas and Dustin picked up the mess from the pillows and Mike and Will picked up any food wrappers.

An hour or two later they finished and all collapsed onto the couch exhausted. Lucas looked at them all.
"Thanks guys this meant a lot to me" he said with a smile.
"Of course dude we're glad your okay" Mike said patting him on the back.

Pretty soon the party went home and Max and El ran to their room. Max giggles as she started tickling El.
"MAXINE!" El yelled laughing.
"Who loves who more?" Max asked still tickling her.
"YOU! You love me more" El responded laughing louder.
Max stopped tickling El and smiled at her.
"Correct"
El smiled before gently kissing Max her hands on her waist.

They got interrupted by glass shattering in a different room..
