Gabi na ng makarating kami sa bahay. Mama Matilda welcome me with a tight hug. I hug her back before asking.

"How's the case Ma?"

"Let's eat first anak, I prepared dinner."

I nodded as a respond. Pumasok na kami sa loob, habang tahimik namang sumunod si Verzine saking likod. Pagpasok namin ay nakahanda na ang pagkain. We ate silently, and it was really awkward.

Matapos kumain ay dumiretso kami sa sala at inabot ni Mama, ang mga information and updates sa case ng anak ko, galing sa mga Pulis.

Ipinaliwanag niya sakin ang mga ibang detalye, at di rin nagtagal nagpaalam na itong matutulog, kaya kaming dalawa na lang ni Verzine ang naiwan sa sala.

"What's your plan?"

He finally talk after a long silence. Tahimik lang kasi kami pareho, habang binabasa ang mga dokumento.

"I'll tell you tomorrow. I'll have to talk to someone first."

I said without looking at him, but I can see his reaction in my peripheral vision. Kumunot ang noo nito.

"Who are you going to talk to..?"

"Is it your boyfriend?"

Sunod sunod na tanong nito.
This time, ang noo ko naman ang kumunot.

What the hell is he talking about..? Boyfriend..? Seriously! Hindi nga ko makamove on sayo magjojowa pako!

I cleared my throat, bago sumagot.

"No Verzine. It's my friend."

He heavy sigh.

"Is... Is your friend a male or a female..?"

He stutter. I look sideways to hide my smirk. I don't want to assume things, but I feel like I know what's going on.

"Why are you asking..? Are you jealous..?"

I said in a teasing manner before looking at him, only to regret it. He's looking straight to my eyes as he blush so hard! Despite that, he didn't break our eye contact.
He then, look at me with serious eyes.

"So what if I am?"

His question made my heart flutter. Damn! Wag niya sanang marinig, ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. Nakakahiya!

"Then... It's not my problem anymore."

I answered before looking away, to hide my small smile.

"I know..."

He whispered in a low voice. I pretend that I didn't hear it.

"Sleep now Verzine. Tomorrow, I'll tell you my plans."

I lied, I have no plan to tell him at all. My plans are dangerous, and he's still recovering. I need to prioritize his safety for our daughter. Atleast kung may mangyari man sa akin, may isang matitira para sa anak namin.

I text Rhyme matapos umakyat ni Verzine.

I'm on my way.

After a couple of minutes, she replied.

Rhyme: See you there.

Hindi na ako nagabala pang magbihis, I just went upstairs to get my motorcycle keys.

Dahil gabi na, mabilis lang ako nakarating sa head quarters.
Naabutan kong inaayos ni Rhyme ang kanyang gitara.

"Where's the others?"
