Author's Note

I honestly cannot begin to express just how thankful I am to all of my readers for giving my story a chance. This was the first time I had posted a story entirely my own i.e., not a fanfiction. At first, I was afraid I wouldn't get views and votes and that maybe no one would like my story but just as the chapters progressed, so did my journey. I made new friends, authors who wrote historical fiction like me, or those who just wrote. The genre of the story does not matter, what the author wishes to say does. By supporting the story I wanted to tell, you all have given me the most precious gift of my life. I have changed a lot since the story began and today, as I type the last author's note for this story, I cannot believe I am at the end of this journey.

Revisions and rewrites are both options I may opt for in the future, but some people deserve a special thanks for being with me on this journey.

@urmommaisgayyyy   and @Egwuji have been constant readers and friends. One of my author friends, her username 'Anneslostherhead', is no longer active on Wattpad, but for the time she was, she motivated me and reminded me again and again that this was a story that mattered.

While these are some special people worth a mention, every reader I have had is equally important to me. Writing this story made me realize how little things about their stories make an author happy. Whenever I got a new vote or comment on my story, it made my day. Concluding my note, I would like to urge all my readers to remember that it takes a lot of courage to put out a story you love so dearly. Every dialogue, plot, twist, setting and character the author writes has a piece of them mixed into them carefully. An author is the bravest of all, for their stories are their comfort and writing or posting them online means sharing their comfort with the whole world out there. That is a big sacrifice to make. So vote and comment on stories and instead of posting rude comments or messages, encourage and assure them that their stories matter and THEY matter. Once again, from the bottom of my heart,

THANK YOU
