Elsa decided that she'd never go with Zayn anymore, and she'd go with Louis from now on. The reason was pretty obvious. Zayn went back in his car alone, and the others went back walking to Harry's place, and I went back with my mom.  Niall said he'd come home at the usual time. I just hope he'd stop trying to kiss me, because one day, if he will figure out what I am, he might react to me in another way.

"Mom. I need to ask you something." I said, on our way back home.

"About that priest or something else?" She asked.

"Who do you think is doing all this? All those messages? Should I tell them everything?" I asked.

"No don't .If you tell them the truth, it will only put them in an even more grievous danger." She said. "I'll let you know when it's time."

"I know that...but some of them can help us." I said.

"I know. But, it's risky. It's not good to take a risk with your lives. Niall had a mere escape, no one knows how. Even I myself am baffled." She said. "I don't want you to make the same mistake you dad did."

"What did he do?" I asked.

"Didn't know what's right and wrong. He decided to take risks on his own, which cost him his life, trying to save YOU." She said.

"Sorry I asked you." I said, and we left the discussion.

                                                                                                          *

I went straight up to my room, removed my jeans, and lay down on my bed just with my hoodie on trying to figure out why the symbol changed. If SHE is after us, who's this DJ then? Are we facing two enemies? I really need to figure out who this DJ is.

I can't get anyone into this. Not even Lisa. It's too dangerous. I need to find a way to get all of them out of this, but, how? I know they're after me. Only me. I need to face this myself.

All these thoughts put me to sleep. I suddenly woke up at four. I realized I need to find a solution to all this as soon as possible. My mom is the only one who can help me now. No library can help me. I ran down immediately.

"Mom? Where are you?" I asked, standing on the last step of the stairway.

"In here." I heard her from her room. She must have been getting ready.

"Mom, Who's DJ?" I asked immediately.

"Why are you with only your top on?" She asked, holding her hair bun.

"Oh. Sorry." I said, looking down. "Okay, who's DJ?"

Just then, the doorbell rang. I ran back up to my room. I knew it was Niall. I quickly ran up, and out on the jeans I removed. I then ran back and found him sitting on the couch with Liam. Liam?

"Liam?" I asked. "What brings you here?"

"We need to talk." He got up and said. Niall was just sitting on the couch, confused.

"I'm leaving then. Bye honey." Mom said, kissing me on my cheek and walked away.

"Okay. What is it?" I asked.

"Is there...any way I can change my course now?" He asked.

"What course?" I asked.

"Right now, our subjects are physics, chemistry and math. Is there any way in which I can change to the course with computer instead of math?" He asked.

"What?" I asked, shocked. "Why do you want to do that now?"

"I hate math. I've never been good at it. I was always good at programming." He said, gloomily. "It's just because of all the others, especially you Niall. They forced me to take this."

"And why did you do that?" I asked Niall. "You can't force anyone like that. I'm telling you, it's no good."

"We just wanted him to be with us always." Niall said. "He's been sad thinking about all this since morning."

"What made you think about this all of a sudden?" I asked. "You were fine all through this semester, isn't it?"

"It's because of the test this month end. I'm really gonna screw up." He said, sadly. "Is there any way I can change course now?"

"It's too late Liam. You should've done this in the first month itself." I said.

"See, I told you, didn't I ?" Niall said to Liam.

"You shut up." Liam snapped. "What do I do now?"

"Just work hard. I can't say anything more."  I said.

"I knew it was hopeless." He said in a low voice. "I'll leave then." And he left. Niall was just sitting quietly. He knew I'd blast him with a hundred questions if he opens his mouth.

Niall's POV :

It's better if I keep quiet now. She seemed to be supporting Liam in this. It won't be a good idea if I speak now. So, I'll just shut up. No wait, let me try something.

"Hey. You can teach Liam like you taught me, can't you?" I asked. She didn't reply. She just walked up to her room. I followed her up to her room. Looks like she was looking for something

"Why are you still in the clothes you wore since morning?" I asked. She still didn't reply. "What are you looking for?"

She was picking up clothes from her bed. Just as I asked her, she threw down the clothes she was picking up angrily on the floor, and walked up to me.

"You do realize what you've done to Liam, don't you?  You've just ruined his life. "She yelled.

"Okay okay. I'm sorry. Calm down Miss James." I said.

"No I won't." She said furiously. "And after doing all this, you just say a sorry? You think you can get what Liam's wants with a SORRY?"

"You're acting weird." I said. "Never seen you like this."

"Now you did, didn't you?" She said. "Don't talk to me until you find a solution for this."

"What can I do? Nothing can be done." I said.

"I don't care. DO SOMETHING." She said, and walked out of the room.

                                                                                                             *

I didn't talk to him after that the whole day. He tried making conversations with me, but he knew he'd be in trouble if he spoke anymore, so he kept quiet.

The next morning, I woke up as usual, brushed my teeth, and took a shower. Wait, where's Niall ? He wasn't on my bed. I ran downstairs immediately. I found him sitting on the kitchen slab.

"Niall?" I said. "What are you-..."

"Nothing." He said. "Just...woke up early today."

"That's it?" I asked.

"Yea." He said dully.

"Okay then...I guess I'll make breakfast. Did you take a shower?" I asked.

"Yea." He repeated again, dully, with his head facing down.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Feeling bad for Liam. I shouldn't have done that." He said.

"You can't change the past of course." I said.

"It's my entire fault." He said unhappily. "What should I do now?"

"Well, you should try helping him out with the subject. There's no other way." I said.

"He won't listen to me. He's already angry at me." He said.

"Should I talk to him for you?" I asked. "And are you really willing to help him?"

"That would be great." He said. "Yes. I will try my best. Thank you Audrey. You're truly a one in a million friend." He said, hugging me.

"No don't kiss me." I said.

"I won't." He said. "I know you'll kill me if I do."
