31 : Almost

Louis was shivering all over. Not from being cold, but from being scared. Later, his eyes looked weary and a bit red.

"Did you have your dinner Louis? We already did." I said.

"No thanks. I don't want anything. I'm just feeling scared." He said, trying to lie on the couch.

"You can sleep in my room Louis...if you're sleepy." I said.

"No I'm fine." He said, cuddling with one of the couch pillows.

"Well, will you sleep here all by yourself then?" I asked.

"No. " He said immediately. "Wait, how are the both of you sleeping?"

"He sleeps on the bed, and I sleep on the couch nearby. But it's not in my room. Down here, in my mom's room, because Niall can't walk upstairs." I said. "You can sleep with Niall if you want."

"Will it be alright with him?" He asked, getting up.

"I'm sure he will." I said, and directed him to the room. He walked steadily behind me. Niall was half asleep with his blankets over his face.

"Did you take your medicines Niall?" I asked him, but he didn't seem to have heard me. He just kept moving around on the bed.

"Yo, Horan...wake up for a minute." I said, pulling away his blankets.

"AAAAH...WHAT IS IT AUDREY?" He yelled.

"Can Louis sleep with you on the bed?" I asked.

"Yea. It's okay." He said, and pulled back the blankets on his face again.

I couldn't sleep. It was half past eleven. Even Louis still seemed to be trying to fall asleep. After about an hour of struggle, he also fell asleep. Later on, I also fell asleep, I guess at twelve.

At around two in the morning, I heard the doorbell ring, which woke me up. I went to the bed and woke both of them.

"Who is it at this point of time?" Niall asked, getting up immediately. I switched on the lights in the room, and walked towards the living room. I switched on the lights in there too, and opened the door.

"You idiot." Liam yelled. Zayn, Harry, Lisa and Elsa were standing behind him, all of them soaked in water.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Louis. Why are you here?" Lisa asked.

"And where did you go without telling your mom?" Elsa asked.

"Guys...let me explain." Louis started.

"Get in all of you." Niall said. "Why are you all wet?"

"Because it's raining." Elsa said. "Louis, do you have any idea how much worried your mom was? We were about to complain to the police."

"Let me explain." Louis repeated.

"And what was so important that you came here shirtless?" Harry asked.

"How do you know that?" Louis asked.

"That's what your neighbors saw. They saw you running shirtless, only with your trousers and shoes into your car." Harry said.

"Why weren't you picking up our calls?" Lisa asked.

"LISTEN." Louis yelled. "All of you. Shut up for a minute. It was because of HER."

"HER?" Who HER?" Liam asked.

"The very HER who attacked Niall." He said. He then explained everything that happened. No one spoke even after he finished.
