39 : Coincidence ?

Both physics and chemistry went well, except for a one mark question in chemistry for which most of them didn't know the answer.

"Seriously though, I'm sure it was out of syllabus." Niall said. "I've never heard of that word before."

"Mother what? What was the question?" Lisa asked.

"Mother liquor. God knows what it is." Harry said.

"Anyways, I've gotta go right now. We're having some guests coming over at my place. Bye." Lisa said, and walked away.

"No way...I think we must have studied about it in our first or second year." Elsa said. "I'm pretty sure I've heard this before."

"Ah leave it...it's just a matter of one mark." Louis said. "Oh, I gotta go. Zayn...wanted to talk to me."

"Can I come too?" Elsa asked. "I'll keep a distance. I promise. I won't come near you guys."

"Um...I don't know about that." He said. "Audrey, you also come. Give her company."

"Alright." I said, and we walked towards the library. I and Elsa hid behind the stairway walls. Louis walked off towards the library entrance. Zayn was already there. They talked for about ten minutes, and then Louis walked back to us. Zayn was still standing there, with his back against the wall outside the library.

From what I saw, Louis looked like he was disagreeing on something that Zayn said to him.

"What did he say?" Elsa asked immediately.

"Let's go down...I'll tell you there." He said, and led us down to where we were, outside our class. The corridor was empty.

"Okay...tell us now." Elsa said.

"Did he finally apologize to you?" Harry asked.

"It's...about Audrey." He said, lowering his head.

"Me?" I asked. "What about me?"

"According to him, all of this, about HER, HIM, that dog and cat, the bloody messages, Niall in coma, all this happened because of you, Audrey." He said.

"WHAT?" I asked, shocked.

"He said that all this started because we made you friends, and that HER was intending to harm you, and instead SHE is harming us too JUST because we're your friends." He said in a low voice.

I was speechless. I didn't know what to say. I just stood there, frozen to the ground, watching Elsa clap her mouth with her hands.

"What rubbish." Niall said. "What does he think of himself?"

"And he told me that he'd talk to me, or us, only if...only if we abandon Audrey." Louis said. "To which I strongly disagreed."

"What the heck? She didn't do anything. Who told him to go bump into HER in the first place? I mean, it's because that happened SHE's after him, and us too." Harry said.

"We don't know whether that's true or not." Liam said. "How can SHE simply take revenge on someone who randomly bumped into HER?"

"So, you're supporting Zayn?" Niall asked. "Is that what your point is?"

"No never. What Zayn said about Audrey is bullshit of course. But, what Harry said about HER taking revenge for bumping into HER didn't sound practical." Liam said.

"Audrey, say something." Elsa said.

"My mom must have come. Bye." I said, and walked away briskly. What did I do? As far as I know, yes SHE was after me, but SHE would never do it, because SHE's afraid of me.
