"Are you guys ready?" I asked. All of them were sitting on the floor. Only I was sitting on my bed.
"Uh huh?" Harry said. "I think so."
"You shouldn't be thinking like this." I said. "When are the werewolves coming?"
"Apparently, they can't tonight." Liam said. "Transformation."
"Damn it." I said. "And the vampires?"
"Yea they'll be here, in about ten minutes from now." Lisa said.
"Who was that werewolf?" Niall asked.
"Please don't bring that up again Niall." I said. "Whoever it is, let him be."
"Are there any other hybrids you know, like you?" Harry asked.
"Finally someone changed the topic." I said. "Yes there are, but I don't know any. Why did you ask?"
"Because if you did, you could've called him or her for tonight." He said.
"No they won't." I said. "They would only try to stay away from HER. They would never risk their lives. Hybrids like me are in grave danger, especially in the presence of a witch. It's not easy to take up that risk."
"That's not the only reason." Mom said.
"What else?" I asked.
"Twenty years ago, when I met your dad for the first time-..." She started.
"Okay, where is this going?" I asked.
"Listen." She said. "His family, the Lucados have been known for their bravery, wealth and superstitions. Especially their superstitions. "She paused for a second and continued "Their family consists only of werewolves. According to them, bringing in another species into the family was considered as a disgrace."
"Why so?" Zayn asked.
"I don't know." I said. "When James fell in love with me, his family members were angry at him. They gave us two choices. Either James had to ditch me, or we had to leave everyone and go on our own. We decided to go on our own." She paused again. "He left everything and everyone he had. Even his own parents."
"Did both of them have the same opinins on you Mrs. James?" Louis asked.
"His dad was actually not angry at all. It was his mom who didn't want me." She said. "From that day on, they swore not to help us, no matter what."
"Just because you're a vampire, they turned away from you." Liam said. "Now that's ridiculous."
"Not only that, they didn't like the idea of a hybrid child, Audrey." She said. "They think of hybrids as an insult to their family. Sorry Audrey."
"I get that a lot. It's okay." I said. "I've met grandma once."
"When?" She asked immediately.
"Damn she's pretty." I said. "I met her one night, while I was guarding Zayn's house. She recognized me at once."
"Your eyes." Mom said. "She recognized you because of your eyes."
"Oh." I said. "And then she was like I've got no idea what I'm up to. She sounded like she was advising me, but later I figured out that it was a sarcastic comment. She told me that dad died because of me and you, mom. She said that SHE killed dad because of us. She's as cruel as much as she's pretty."
"That's...bad." Niall said.
"I know." I said.
"Zayn, what are you doing on your phone?" Liam asked.
