26 : Two Dogs and a Cat

"What was that all about?" Niall asked as I came back to the room.

"Nothing much. Apparently, my dad knew her dad. They were friends. So did our moms." I said.

"That's not what I heard when I came." Harry said.

"Seriously Harry?" I asked. Just then, Lisa came back again.

"I'll explain everything." She said. I knew she wouldn't let out anything, so I let her speak.

"The Lucados are more than you can imagine. And your dad Audrey, was the nicest person I've ever seen." She started. All of us were listening patiently.

"You've seen him?" I asked curiously.

"Yea. A lot of times." She said. "They've got that one quality...bravery...it's been passed down right from their ancestors."

"Bravery? You mean, they fought wars and stuff?" Elsa asked.

"I'll come to that later." She said. "I don't know much about your mom, but you dad was HISTORY. There is no one who doesn't know about James Lucado."

"How do you know so much about her dad?" Niall asked.

"I read it somewhere." She said.       

"Read it? You mean, was he some prophet to have his things written down somewhere? No offence Audrey." Louis said.

"All I want to say is, I am not as bad you thought I was." She said.

"How can we trust you?" Liam asked. "You've been hating us since-.."

"Yes that's true. That was when Audrey wasn't with you guys. I wouldn't have done that then if she was with you." She said.

"Then, why did you do that to her on the first day?" Niall asked.

"I told you. I didn't know who she really was. If I knew she was one of the Lucados, I wouldn't have done something like that. The Lucados are not someone you can mess around with. And that's a fact." She said.

"Huh?" Zayn said.

"Never mind. I'm leaving now. You can hate me if you want, but I CAN'T hate you guys, JUST because Audrey is with you. "She said, and left.

Zayn hurried and shut the door immediately after she left. "Is this true Audrey? Is, or was your dad that famous?"

"Yes."

"What the actual-..." Harry started.

"Even I didn't know much about this until she told me. She knows a lot more about my dad than I do." I said.

"And she said she read about your dad somewhere. Some newspaper article? " Louis said. "But, the way she said it was like she read it in some book where you find these...you know...history of famous people."

"Like a...a biographic book." Elsa said.

"Should we check out some library?" Zayn said.

"Yea. Probably." Liam said. "What say Audrey?"

"Oh...okay." I didn't want to tell them what type of library they would have to go to, because then they will come to know of everything. So I just kept my mouth shut, and let them try and find out. Of course they won't find a thing.

That night, as I was lying on my bed, watching the night sky, curtains drawn up wide open, I could see my neighbor trying to put her daughter to sleep, but she just keeps running around with her teddy bear.
