Kingdom Hearts: Tremors

Chapter 5: Bad things from the garden, road kill, some kind of mutation

Meanwhile, by the road is a small farm, a few miles from the towers. A farmer is on his garden, hoing his patch. He's minding his own business. He's wearing a simple white shirt, a farmer's cap, and a farmer's pants. Suddenly, his sheep in their pen start freaking out as they bleat in panic. He stops to look at them, wondering what the fuss is about. He looks around, and sees nothing. He shrugs, thinking his sheep are just restless. He goes back to shaping the soil around his vegetables. Then, his scarecrow moves behind him, tilts to an angle. He senses something is off. So he stops, and turns around. He still doesn't see anything. But then, strange screeching sounds is heard and dirt shoots up under him. He screams bloody murder as he suddenly sinks below. His sheep cried in terror and helplessly run in their pen as they watch the fate of their beloved farmer. Then, Dungeon Worm comes out of the ground, and roars at the sheep. Back with the vehicles, they're now driving through the rocky hills. They drive past roadworkers. In the van, the heroes are now talking about what happened to Edgar. 

Sora: What do you think could have happened? What made him stay up there?

Yuu: Well, do you think he hated Perfection more than Val and Earl? Do you think he wanted to kill himself? 

Yang: But he had a gun. Why didn't he used that?

Ruby: Out of bullets? 

Sora: Well, somebody or something must have chased him up there. 

Yuu: You mean someone who's not scared of guns? 

Goofy: Do you think it might have been...the heartless?

Kairi: That is a good thought. I mean Heartless aren't scared of weapons that much, but they still fear the keyblades.

Yuu: If it was the Heartless, then what'd they do? Camp out or walk around down below and just wait for him to give himself up or die? (Sighs)

Miki: Well, whatever it was, it must of scared him so bad, it made him stay up there. 

They continue driving. They come up to the farm to the left, and they see something unsettled. 

Yuu: What the heck?

The vehicles stop to the side of the road as the tires screech to a stop. Then, everyone gets out of the vehicles, and walk up to the farm. They see the pen has been bend out of shape. Inside, are lumps of tore pieces of sheep flesh littered in the pen. Flies are buzzing inside. Earl exhales after smelling the rotten meat, and Val and the heroes look in horror and confusion. 

Val: What the crap? 

Ruby: Oh, my gosh. These poor sheep...

Miki: What happened here? 

Yuu: Looks like an animal did this. 

They get concerned for the old farmer, and look for him. They all look around for him as Earl and Goofy walk up to his small green shack.

Val: Hey, Fred! Hey there, Old Fred! 

Earl: (Knocks on door) Hey, Fred!

Getting no answer, they both open the door, and walk inside. 

Goofy: Fred! You in there?

The rest circle around the shack and garden, looking for him. Earl and Goofy come out of the shack and join them.

Goofy: He's not in there. Maybe he left. 

Ruby: No, he didn't. His car is still here. Look. 

They all look, and see his car is still here, parked between the garden and pen. They all look around, and look at the garden. They see his hat on the ground, nested in a small crater of dirt. Val and Earl are really confused and flabbergasted on the whole thing. Nothing like has been happening in Perfection Valley.
