The monsters are still flying over the desert. Sora and Burt look around the place, and they see the mountains ahead of them. About three or four more miles away.
Burt: Yo, there we go! Solid rock.
They all exclam as they continue flying to the mountains. So far, they don't see any sign of the worms.
Earl: Any sign of them?
Miguel: Maybe they just gave up, you know?
cole: I still don't like this.
Just then, they all see a bunch of dust and dirt erupting in the air on the right side. They all look at it as they hear the worms screeching.
Heather: Hey, what's that?
Earl: Dang it! What the heck are they doing?
Val: I don't care what they're doing as long as they're doing it way over there.
The monsters are now flying past to where Val and Earl rested at a few days ago with some of the heroes. Just then, Burt sees something below them, and is about to come up.
Burt: Hey, wait! Look out!
Sora looks down, and Dungeon Worm shoots up from the dirt, roaring. The heroes see this, and they all move their monsters out of the way. It misses them as they all move away fast. Everyone holds onto the monsters. Zwei is whimpering as Ruby holds him. The monsters stay where they're at in the air as everyone looks down.
Miguel: Sora, what happened?
Nancy: What happened?
Sora: That worm can reach us from the air.
Val: Yeah. They led us into a trap. I can't believe this.
Dungeon Worm tries it again as it comes out of the ground. It roars at them, and tries to bite the monsters.
Earl: Alright. (Hands Val a gun) Here.
They both crawl over to the side, and fire at Dungeon Worm. The bullets hit him, and it shrieks in pain as it gets shot. As they fire at it, Burt takes out one of his bombs. He runs over to them, and he lights the fuse on it.
Burt: Hungry? Eat this! (Tosses it down) Everybody down!
The bomb lands by Dungeon Worm, and it goes off. Dungeon Worm shrieks as the blast hits him hard. He goes back down into the ground. Everyone sits up, and looks around.
Rhonda: There they are!
Earl: Did you get one?
Burt: I don't know. I think I hurt it.
Rhonda: No, there's still three of them. Look, there's three different dust trails.
Val: Sure made them think twice though. (Looks at Burt) What the heck's in those things, Burt?
Burt: A few household chemicals in the proper proportion.
Winter: Looks like loud explosions scare them. Guess that's one noise that they're afraid.
Rhonda: Here they come. They're coming back!
They all look, and see them coming back for them. The monsters stay where they are as Heather fire shots at the worms, trying to hit them. Sora looks around, and suddenly gets an idea as he spots some large rocks.
Sora: Guys, we need put everyone on the rocks. Let's see if our monsters can handle these things.
Blake: I don't know, Sora. Our fire and other attacks won't be able to touch them through the dirt.
