Later that night, back at the doctor's place, he and his wife are unloading stuff from their car. They're putting them down next to the construction. Watching them from a distance is Dungeon Worm. He growls as he looks at them. He's getting hungry, and waits for the time to strike. He's also waiting for his new friends to make the move. As he does, he sees one of them going for the generator on the ground. It pulls it down into the ground, shutting off the lights in the trailer. The doctor and his wife notices this, and he takes a flashlight from the car and walks over to where the generator was. Then, he notices it's gone. He turns to look at his wife.
Jim: It's gone!
His wife comes over to him to see for herself. He's shining the light down to where it was. The cord is sticking down into the ground through a small crater on the spot. They both look at it.
Megan: You sure this is where it was?
Jim: It was right here! There's the cord. (Hands her the flashlight) Hold this.
He kneels down as he pulls the cord slowly.
Jim: Yeah, maybe the ground caved in. There's a lot of mines and stuff around here.
Megan: (Pulls him up) Well, don't then. You don't wanna fall in.
She pulls him up as he reaches the end of the cord. The cord was bitten off from the generator. Dungeon Worm watches this, and snarls. Then, a strange roar is heard as the generator shoots up from the ground like a geyser. They both look in surprise as it comes crashing down and breaks on impact. Dungeon Worm then positions himself for an attack from behind the couple. It can still hear them talking from above.
Megan: Let's go.
Jim: Gosh, what is that stink? You hear that?
Dungeon Worm hears the roaring again, trying to draw them closer to them. It can also hear the footsteps from above too.
Megan: Come on. Come on, let's just go. Let's go back to town or something. Please, Jim!
Jim: Maybe it's a geological thing or something natural gas or a geyser. They stink like that. Remember in Yellowstone?
Dungeon Worm then feels the footsteps above his mouth, and it sucks the doctor's legs in through the ground. It could hear them yelling and shouting from above.
Megan: Jim!
Jim: Something's got me!
Dungeon Worm continues to suck his prey down into the ground. Then, it bites onto his leg, making a crunching noise. Jim is screaming in pain. Dungeon Worm is enjoying this. They continue shouting and screaming above as Megan tries to save her husband. Then, it hears something breaking above, meaning that they were trying to use something to keep him from going down. He's almost down into the mouth.
Jim: Something's got me! Oh, gosh! Please get me out! Help me!
Dungeon Worm makes one last suction, and Jim comes down into the mouth through the dirt. Dungeon Worm then chomps down on him, stopping his screaming.
Megan: Jim!
It hears his wife above, digging through the dirt, trying to find him. Then, one of the snake creatures appears through the dirt as Dungeon Worm comes out of the dirt too, both roaring at her. The snake lungs at her, cutting her right cheek. She screams in terror and runs for the car. She reaches it, and slams the trunk close to prevent the creature from getting in. Dungeon Worm watches as the snake creature smashes its head against the window, screeching. Two more join it as they surround the car. Then, it hears country music playing inside the car. The snake creatures rub themselves against the windows. Then, they leave, and go back underground as the music inside continues. A moment later, rumbling is heard around the car. Dirt clouds spew around it, and the car starts sinking into the ground from behind. The creatures are sinking it, dragging the back end of it down into the earth. Dungeon Worm growls as it lets them have the fun. The car is tilted into the air. Megan starts honking the horn, hoping for someone to come and help her, or to use it to scare the creatures. The headlights turn on as the back windows shatter, letting the dirt pour into the car. The front end is now aiming towards the sky. Megan starts screaming as the car is now sinking. The headlights are beaming straight up into the night sky. Dungeon Worm watches as the car is now inside the dirt, blocking the headlights as her screams stop. It growls, and dives back down into the dirt, heading out. Its job is not done yet.
