In the store, Val is tending to Rhonda's wounds from the wires on her legs. Yang is doing the same with Blake. They put some spray on them to stop the infection. Blake hisses as she feels it.
Yang: Sorry.
Blake smiles at her. She smiles back. Ruby and Weiss smile at this as Ruby holds Zwei. Cole and Danny look out the windows, and they don't see those things anywhere yet. Danny keeps his gun out. Val finishes taking care of Rhonda, and Miguel gives her new pants and shoes.
Ren: Well, looks like they're already here.
Miguel: So, what are we gonna do? You know, how long till they go away?
Earl: They got the patience of Job. They sit and goshdang wait till they hear something that sounds like lunch.
Sora: He's right. That's why Edgar never got down from that tower. They trapped him up there until he died. We gotta get a plan here, guys.
Walter: I got a plan. (To Val and Earl) You and Val drive the truck up to the mountain, walk to Bixby, get some help.
Val: Walter, those scumsuckers ate our radials.
Rhonda: (Buttons up pants) Well, you can take my truck.
Earl: No, we need a major four-wheel drive just to get up that jeep trail.
Miguel: Ah, that trail's all messed up.
Walter: Wait. Sheriff, your truck is that. You can drive up there.
Danny: I told you, I'm not leaving you all here unprotected.
Riku: Well, one of us has to take the truck to get help.
Before anyone else can say anything, Walter's soda refrigerator starts whirring. Everyone looks at it, and Val, Earl, Cole, Sora, and Walter run to it.
Walter: Turn it off.
They all gather around it, and try to get the plug.
Val: Pull it back. Pull it back.
They all pull the refrigerator back as they push the soda boxes down to get it to move. They pull it back, and Val reaches down, and unplugs it. The whirring stops.
Val: I got it.
But just then, a Graboid pops out from under the floor, and the tenacles lung at Walter from behind. He groans as they grab him.
Sora: Walter!
Cole: Grab him!
They all grab ahold of him, trying to save him. Danny aims at the worm, and shoots at it. The bullets hit all over it, but it still pulls Walter in, and bites onto him. It shakes him around as everyone tries to save him. Then, it pulls him down into the floor, disappearing into the ground as Walter's screams fade away. Everyone watch in shock as they saw of this as they stare down into the hole.
Val: Son of a gun. Son of a gun!
Then, the second Graboid show up from behind the counter. Everyone jumps, and they all scater all around the place. Rhonda climbs on the shelves to get up. The Graboid then moves towards it as everyone gets away from it. Val looks around, and he spots the door to the roof.
Val: Come on, let's go! The roof!
Ruby holds Zwei in her arms as he barks at the worm. Everyone moves up to get up on the roof. Danny shoots at the worm as Cole gets a ladder for everyone. Danny reloads his gun, and keeps shooting at it as everyone climbs up the ladder. Rhonda jumps over the shelves to get to them.
Val: Come on!
Cole opens the hatch, and everyone gets onto the roof, but the tentacles start pushing the shelves foward, knocking them down. Everyone sees this, and goes faster as Rhonda holds onto the last shelf.
Earl: Jump, Rho! You can do it!
Rhonda: No, I can't! I can't!
She screams as she gets knock out of the store through the window. Val sees this, and climbs up the ladder. He climbs up onto the roof.
Val: Rhonda! Don't stop. Keep moving!
He runs over to the ledge, and looks down. He sees some food that was knocked out with Rhonda, but don't see her. He thinks it got her.
Val: Oh, my gosh.
Rhonda's voice: Hey!
He looks up, and sees her climbing on the ladder to the water tower. Val looks relief. She makes it to the top.
Val: You okay?
She gives him a thumbs up with a smile. The heroes see this, and smile too. Danny is the last one to make it to the roof. He closes the hatch. Just then, Melvin calls out to them.
Melvin: Hey, what's going on? Where are you guys?
Everyone walks over to the other side, and see him coming out of the shed. He sees them.
Melvin: What's up, man? What the heck are you doing up there?
Miguel: Melvin, shut the heck up. Get up on your roof.
Melvin: No way!
Nora: Melvin, do what he says! Get off the ground now!
Yang: Do it, you idiot!
Just then, the Graboid shakes the shed from underneath. He shouts in fear, and starts climbing to the roof. They all watch as he makes it and lays down on the roof, panting.
Danny: We've got to warn everyone else.
Val: Nestor? Nestor? Nancy, get up on your roofs! Up on your roofs! They come through the floor!
Cole: Nestor, Nancy, Mindy, he's right! You all gotta get off the ground and onto your roofs!
Everyone calls out for them to get onto the roofs. Dungeon Worm watches them from a distance. He growls, and waits for the time to strike. He digs through the ground, circling the town around.
Here's the 12th chapter of Kingdom Hearts: Tremors. Uh, oh! Looks like the Graboids got Walter. Now everyone in the town are on the roofs. And the worms are down below, waiting to get their prey.
