Chapter Ten.

Lillian changed Zane diaper and after getting his bottoms on, she picked him up and held him in the air, "Who does mommy love?", she asked, bring him down to her lips and she kissed his cheek, making him smile. "I love you, I love you, my little man.", she said.

The door opened and Ryan came in, having papers in his hands. Her eyebrows came together as he sat down on the couch and grabbed a pen, writing down on the pieces on the paper.

She got up, placing Zane on her hip, and threw the dirty diaper in the trash. She went back into the living room and sat down next to Ryan, bouncing Zane on her lap as she looked down at the paper, "What are you doing?", she asked.

"Filling out job applications.", he said.

Her eyebrows came together, confused, "For?".

"A new job.", he said, then stopped writing and tapped the pen against the paper before sitting it down and turned to her. "Since I can't ask Hanna to quit, I should be the one to move on.".

Lillian realized what he meant and she gave him an apologetic look, "Ryan, I didn't mean it to go that far. I hate nagging at you and-"

He shook his head, "No, don't worry. I think it was time to move on anyways, my boss and I don't have the greatest relationship. I feel these out and continue working at the restaurant until I find a new job.".

She moved closer to Ryan and placed her chin on his shoulder, "You can still be friends with her.", she said. "I think I was mostly jealous because...well, she got to spend more time with you then I did. I only got to see you before school and after school for an hour then you spend four to five hours at the restaurant.", she said as she wrapped her free arm around his arm.

His turned his head to face her and leaned his head down, putting his forehead on hers, giving her a smile "It's cute when your jealous, though. It's like watching a angry puppy.".

She scuffed, not helping but smile at him before kissing him.

Lillian held the little outfit in front of Zane, seeing if it would look nice on him. She was out shopping with Ryan at the mall, looking for some new stuff for Zane. Most of his cloths weren't fitting, so it was time to get some new ones. She didn't realize how fast he would grow, one minutes he was only a day old and now he's six and half months.

After getting a chew nice cute outfits, she looked down at some rows. She saw a book about making your own baby food and couldn't help but pick it up, looking through it.

"No, Lil,", Ryan said. "Sorry, but you know you can't cook.".

"I so can!", she said.

"Lil, you burnt water.", he said.

"I did not, I just forgot the water was boiling. It evaporated very quickly! Not my fault.", she said. "And according to this book, I would be making sure my child would be eating fresh, healthy, and nutritious food. God know what they could be adding to those jar food.", she said.

"Lil, you been giving him chocolate and other unhealthy stuff since he's been a month old.", he said. "You said you mom did the same thing and she had a genius for a daughter.".

She blushed a little as she smiled, "But now he has to eat healthy stuff. Apples, bananas, and vegetables. It looks very easy and I don't even have to use a stove unless I'm defrosting cause I can store it in the freezer after making it. And look, it's cheaper then buying the jar stuff.".

That seem to catch his attention, so she was aloud to get the book. After paying for the stuff, they walked around since going home to where nothing was on TV, they decided to just going around the wall and look at stuff.

When they were near the food court, Lillian sat the photo both where you can take four picture. She never saw it before, so it was obviously new. She grabbed Ryan arm and dragged him over to it, "Can we?", she asked.

"Really?", he asked, whining. "My hair isn't as great as it usually is.".

I rolled my eyes, "Please, I never got to do one of these.".

"Fine, fine.", he said and she squealed, opening the courting and they all climbed in. Ryan put the three dollars in. Getting ready by trying to get Zane to stop squriming in her arm, she wasn't readying when Ryan said, "Lil, it's about to go off-"

To late, the picture was taken when she was looking at Zane. The light surly distracted Zane though and calmed him down. Thinking of a pose quickly as it counted down to five, she leaned down to kiss Zane's cheek as Ryan made a funny face.

Jeez, I did not plan how we were going to take these, she thought as she leaned over to Ryan and kissed his cheek. She knocked him over a little, so the picture was taking of them both laughing, her lips still on his cheek though.

She brought Zane's up to the middle of them and they both kissed his cheeks and the picture was taken. The screen said it would take a couple of moments, so they climbed out of the booth.

When the moments passed, two slides of the pictures came out. Lillian took the color one of Ryan took the black and white one. They chuckled since they weren't dressed up for any pictures taken. Lillian loved it though, she knew what was going to be her new bookmark.

Zane just brought his hand up to his mouth, not caring at all about the photo's.

Lillian held the spoon of apple food she just made towards Zane. It took about two try outs out of the book recipe, but it was all good. She didn't do anything wrong and she store what was left in the freezer for tomorrow.

"Come on, open for mama.", Lillian said, trying to get Zane to open his mouth. He was sitting in his high chair, but he was more focus on trying to knock things off the table. When she pulled it out of reach and tried again, he was trying to take the spoon from her. She grabbed his hand, "No, open your mouth. It's yummy and good, Zane.".

It took a second, but he finally opened his mouth and she quickly put a little in his mouth. He seemed to move it around his mouth for a moment before swallowing it.

"Ahh, yay!", she said, putting the spoon down and clapped. "Ryan, come here! He did it!".

As she was trying again, Ryan came back in and took his phone out, recording as as Zane opened his mouth and let her put a little in again, she thought it was so cute since he was focusing on the spoon the whole time. They clapped for him and he smile, his two teeth showing. Lillian took his hands and help him clapped. She let go and he stopped, but she knew he would get it soon.

She gently took his head and kissed the top of his head, "Good boy. Now who wants a little more?".

After getting him to eat a few more bites, he seem to stop and she realize he was finished. She cleaned around his mouth and got him ready for bed. She changed him in his soft blue oneies and gave him a bottle. She swayed him softly until he started to doze off. She knew it was going to be a mess full in a couple of hours since he isn't very use to apples.

After fifteen minutes, she was sure he was asleep. She gently laid him in his crib and brought his blanket up to him. She went over to the bed and jumped on next to Ryan, giving him a kiss.

"I lost my place.", Ryan said and she pouted at him. His closed his chemistry book, "I have tomorrow off, so I guess I can do it tomorrow.", he said, throwing his book down on the floor. He surprised her by wrapping his arm around her neck and kissed her as he turned her onto her back. Ryan lift his head, moving a strain of her blonde hair out of her face, "I hope you know how I much I love you.".

She smiled, "I do.".

Short chapter, I know, i'm sorry. But I think this is a good chapter, they're getting along again. I didn't mean to make it so short, but I'm actually tired and wanted to get it up before I ended up falling asleep. Lol. Comment and vote!
