Lillian rocked Zane as she walked around in her room, trying to get him to go to sleep but every time she would set him down to sleep when his eyes close, he just wakes back up and starts crying. She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, but it sounded almost like a cry. She was so tired and it was only eight thirty.

Zane was drooling against her shirt, her arms were hurting from carrying him, and she just wanted Ryan to be here so he could try and make him go to sleep.

"Please, Zane, go to sleep!", she begged him.

She went over to her CD player and put in a soft piano playing, hoping that would calm him down. She felt bad for wanting him to fall asleep so she could have some peace and relax when her baby was sick and needed all her attention time ten.

She sat down on her bed, holding Zane against her chest, his little head laying on her shoulder as she leaned over and turned off the lights, hoping it would work.

Zane was against her chest, laying his head on her chest down, and fell asleep her chest rising and falling.

"Oh come on.", she whispered quietly to Zane. "You just wanted the lights off?".

She was his shirtless back, messaging his little muscles, and it was quiet now. She gave it fifteen minutes before she slowly got up from her bed, holding Zane against her chest, and walked over to his crib, peeling him off her chest, and settling him in his crib with his blanket.

He stayed asleep and she even stood there just in case. Yup, he was fast asleep.

She dragged her butt downstairs and made her a plate of food she didn't get to eat. She scuffed the delicious stake and baked potato down with a can of soda.

While she was eating, the door had opened and Ryan came into the kitchen, sitting next to her at the table. Her eyebrows came together when she saw he looked kind of distracted and she cleared her throat. "What's wrong?".

He looked up at her and shrugged, "Nothing.".

She raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure? Did something happen at work today?".

"No.", he said, shook his head once.

"I know when someone has something on their mind, Ryan.", she said, sitting her fork down. "Come on, it can't be that bad you can't tell me.".

He looked at her for a moment, "I think Hanna likes me.", he said and it was her turn to stare at him blankly as she tired to wrap what he just said in her head. He sighed as he got up, "You were right, Lil.", he said as he walked over to the fridge.

She turned in her seat, "But she told me the other night I had nothing to be worried about, that she doesn't see you that way. Are you sure?".

"Well she didn't say it, but she made it a little obvious to me.", he said, opening his can of soda.

She got up from the chair and walked over to him, "And what did you say to her?".

"Nothing.", he said. "What could I have said?".

"Well. . .", she trailed off, not sure what to say to him. "I don't know.".

"My thoughts also.", he said, sitting the can on the counter. "I don't think she'll try anything."

"Well, good.", she said, raising her chin a little. "You are mine, Ryan Miller.", she teasingly said, poking his chest.
