"Was Asher suspended again or kicked off the team for good?" Olivia asked

"No, he's off the team," Jordan said

"How's he doing?" Olivia asked

"How should I know?" Jordan said

"He's your friend," Olivia said

"Not anymore. OK, can we talk about my problem now?" Jordan asked

"Nothing's happened to you yet," Olivia said

"It's only a matter of time, OK?" Jordan asked

"As soon as those drug test results come in, I'll miss the entire playoffs, and everyone's gonna know why. I'll be the school druggie." Jordan said

"That's my title. Stay in your Lane." Olivia said smiling

"You think this is funny?" Jordan asked

"You'll live, Jordan, OK? Look at me. I'm alive. On my way to calculus." Olivia said

"Mm. mm. I hate calculus." Jordan said

"Totally missed my point," Olivia said

"No, I get it. I got it. OK? It's just it's different for me, OK? Colleges will hear about this and nobody wants a stoner QB. OK? nobody. It'll totally ruin my chances of playing football at the next level." Jordan said

"See, I'm so confused how the Malibu coach could order a drug test," Olivia said

"He didn't order it. He he filed a protest." Jordan said

"Yeah, but how did he know you smoked weed?" Olivia said

"I don't know. It was just me and Ripley. Nobody else was there." Jordan said

"Oh," Olivia said looking down

"What?" Jordan asked

"Nothing," Olivia said looking back up at Jordan

"You think it was Ripley, don't you?" Jordan asked Olivia making her start to walk away giving him an answer

"But.." Jordan tried to say something else but Olivia kept walking.

"Spencer, where the hell are you?" Billy asked Spencer over the phone.

"The players are on the field. The scrimmage is about to start." Billy said

"I'm sorry, Coach. I ain't gonna be able to make it." Spencer said

"What did you say?" Billy asked

"Look, something came up back home, all right? I'll be at the house tonight." Spencer said

"Uh-uh. Spencer." Billy said

"I'm sorry," Spencer said then hung up the phone.

"Spencer," Billy said getting no answer since Spencer hung up as a man came walking into his his office.

"Coach Baker." The man said

"Hey," Billy said

"Gordon Bauer," Gordon said shaking Billy's hand

"I cover local sports for the L.A. Tribune," Gordon said

"Thank you for coming out. Thank you so much for the award." Billy said

"You earned it," Gordon said

"Thank you," Billy said

"I was told I get 15 minutes with Spencer James before the scrimmage," Gordon said looking outside the door into the locker room looking around for Spencer.
