"All right, let's go, let's go, let's go!" Billy said as players started throwing the football at Spencer as he ran down the field catching them all back-to-back
"All right. What'd I say? Ain't even close. Ain't even close." Billy said impressed
"This kid needs to work on his hands," Damon said telling another coach
"I think you could coach him up. Can't teach size. And you sure as hell can't teach speed." The coach said
"Hut!" A football player yelled then threw the ball at Asher as he caught it
"I see you, Adams. I see you." Billy told Asher as he looked down at his clipboard making Asher smile
"And go," Jordan said as he got ready to throw the ball he ran backward and tried throwing it to Cam as the other boys ran for it on the field
"Don't hesitate. Don't hesitate. Just throw. Just throw. Just throw." Billy told Jordan and so Jordan did but another player caught it
"Could somebody get me a real QB? What's that fool doing here?" Cam asked frustrated and Jordan just looked at him
—-MEANWHILE AT THE CAFE—-
"So Spencer's ex-girlfriend is your best friend?" Layla asked
"Yeah, but we were all best friends before they got together," Madison said
"Yeah? What were you two like back in Crenshaw?" Layla asked
"Were the same here actually I wouldn't say same we have to act a different way we have to pretend to be something we aren't you know keep an extra shield up we have to let some stuff go that we wouldn't usually let go," Madison said
"Like what? What do we do that you let go?" Layla asked
"I can't drink around you guys because then I am the girl from Crenshaw that drinks too much or spends too much because then where's I get the money or let's talk about the racist joke Asher made when we first got here," Madison said
"I am sorry about that," Layla said
"Why? You ain't say it and the truth is he was just trying to be cool if he'd had said that in Crenshaw Spencer and him would've fought nah actually he would've gotten jumped." Madison said
"I thought you liked it here?" Layla asked
"It's cool. The opportunity are better." Madison said
"Well, I am glad you both came you guys really spiced things up around here," Layla said
"Yeah, I bet," Madison said
—-A LITTLE LATER—-
"Are you good?" Chris asked as he walked over to Jordan who was getting some water
"Just having an off day," Jordan said
"Psh. Happens to the best of us, man." Chris said as he got some water
"Did you miss a single throw today?" Jordan asked Chris making him scoff
"I mean.." Chris said because he couldn't relate
"That's what I thought. You straight-up outplayed me." Jordan said as a scout walked up to them
"Excuse me, gentlemen." A scout said making Jordan and Chris both give him their attention
"Jordan Baker, congratulations." The coach said handing Jordan a 7 on 7 invite to the school
"Thank thanks... Thanks, Coach." Jordan said not believing it as the Coach turned to Chris
