"I can't believe you talked me into this. I've never woken up this early before in my life and your ass is looking at Crenshaw like you won't be back after school." Madison said rolling her eyes
"Why can't I look at the place I live? I am just trying to see it before we get to Beverly and see all the preppy rich kids and stuff." Spencer said
"Whatever, could you stop moving? I still got a couple of minutes of sleep in me, and your shoulder could really help as a pillow. Plus you'll be dating one of these rich chicks before the end of the month." Madison said, trying to go to sleep.
"Yeah, you got jokes for real now I should make you move off my shoulder." Spencer said
"Stop playing," Madison said while going to sleep
——At Beverly——
"Welcome to Beverly Hills. Now, remember, y'all are here on an academic permit, which can be revoked if you guys don't maintain your GPA. But I've seen both of your records. That shouldn't be an issue... exceptional grade average, above-grade-level testing. You guys won't miss a day at play. Look, no fighting or it's over. One and done." Billy said
"Look, we just did what we needed to get by." Madison said
"I know. See you at practice Spencer." Billy said
"All right, listen up. I want you all to do a search on chromosomal DNA and make a slide on how it connects with last week's work on protein. Spencer, right?" The teacher said
"Yes, ma'am." Spencer said
"It's OK if you don't have a computer. Just pair up with a classmate for now." The teacher said
"OK. Thank you." Spencer said
*Spencer walked up to a kid named Todd when he pulled his computer toward him and away from Spencer.*
"Hey, Todd. Keep watching that Logan Paul feed." Olivia said
"Whatever, Olivia." Todd said
"You can share with me." Olivia said
*Spencer walked over to sit next to a girl named Olivia who invited him over to work with her.*
"Thank you." Spencer said
"I'll warn you; my chromosomal DNA knowledge is non-existent at best." Olivia said
"I might be able to help with that." Spencer said with a bright smile
"Salad bar, coffee cart. They serve Sushi on Fridays." Olivia said
Sushi on Friday?" Spencer said and Olivia looked at Spencer with a questionable look
"At Crenshaw, we get Sushi on Monday, that's all." Spencer said
"Smart and funny. I'm impressed." Olivia said with a bright smile
——MEANWHILE——
"We have a new student Madison James take a seat next to Jordan, his partner transferred so you'll be his new partner." The history teacher said pointing to Jordan.
*Madison walked toward him and sat next to him.*
"Welcome to the team." Jordan said
"Yeah, no you do your work and I do mine work and we won't have any problem it's kind of like you mind your business and I mind mine that applies in this partnership as well anything to add no okay." Madison said and turned back toward the teacher like she never spoke a word to Jordan.
*After the teacher explained everything to the class she walked over to Madison and Jordan.*
"We're going to take a test today but since you weren't here you might not know any of the answers, so you don't have to take it now Madison I know your old school didn't teach you much you know with all the fights and stealing I am sure you know what I mean." The history teacher said
*Madison looked at the teacher with a confused look on her face or what did you just say to me face people in Crenshaw called it.*
"I don't know what you mean and just because I went to a public school in Crenshaw does not mean I don't know anything. I would also like to take the test today like everyone else so walk yourself to your desk and give me a test please." Madison said
*Without another word the teacher did as Madison told her to do, grabbing Madison a test and giving it to her as Madison started taking her test looking unphased like nothing happened like she didn't just threaten her teacher a few minutes ago until Jordan started speaking to her.*
"You did not just say that to our history teacher for a test especially." Jordan said
"If I didn't do it now she would have made me do it later and I'd be behind and being behind is not going to get me anywhere in life especially at this white school so now I have to step my game up even more." Madison said
"Yeah I get where you're coming from umm I am Jordan Baker by the way." Jordan said
*Madison looked him up and down, stopping to look at his three hundred dollar watch.*
"Yeah I am sure to do it. I am Madison James and you're the football coach's son, am I right?" Madison said
"Yeah, is that a bad thing?" Jordan said
"Oh no no I am just saying the last name. Baker only got me thinking about two men and Billy said he had twins who went here and you're like one out of a couple black kids here so I am connecting the dots." Madison said
"We'll Madison James now that you know who I am and I know who you are can we work together." Jordan said
"Nope mind your business as I said and you don't know me and you never will." Madison said
"You don't have to get so aggressive I get it I don't know you but I will." Jordan said
"I hope not but I am sure you will." Madison said and went back to her test as Jordan smirked and finished his test.
