Chapter 1, The day I meet you

SHINOBU POV

I was peacefully and happily enjoying my beauty sleep in my comfiest bed until I heard my sister Kanae peek through my bedroom door, "Good morning Shinobu, it's already 8:00 AM, you have work! Breakfast is downstairs, I'll be heading out to meet Sanemi!~" I opened my eyes and met Kanae's eyes with my death stare which caused Kanae to giggle, then she left my room.

"God I hate waking up early in the morning for work..." as I said getting ready for work, I always had a habit to stare at my sister's boyfriend Sanemi with my deepest and darkest stare...that's because I was always overprotective of my older sister Kanae, even if I was the middle sister of the Kocho family.

As I finally got dressed in my physician uniform, I went downstairs to find Kanao, my younger sister putting on her school shoes.

"Ohayo Shinobu, do you know where is my packed lunch box for school?" Kanao asked, I looked around the kitchen looking for her lunch box until I found it at the right corner inside the fridge and grabbed it for her.

"Here you go Kanao, make sure you always listen to your teacher and always tell me or nii-san if your getting harassed or bullied, okay?" I smiled gently as she nodded and off she went outside, into her school bus.

I was scrolling through my phone as I was finishing up my breakfast until I heard a car stop by infront of the house and honked at me to get my attention, I looked up and saw Obanai and Mitsuri in the vehicle.

"Get in the car before we leave you, Shinobu" Obanai said coldly, I smiled at him and my veins popped up on my forehead as I said "Ara ara! What brings you here all of a sudden?~" Mitsuri immediately shouted saying "SHINOBU, ARIGATO FOR TREATING ME TO SAKURA MOCHIS YESTERDAY, I DECIDED TO RETURN THE FAVOUR AND HELP YOU GET TO WORK!!!" Mitsuri said as she happily smiled and was flustered, I chuckled as I finished up my breakfast, left the dishes in the sink since I didn't have time to wash them, grabbed my bag and went into their car after I made sure I locked the house doors.

I smiled happily, enjoying the relaxation of the car ride in the backseat as I was relieved from having to walk 2 miles to the hospital which was awfully exhausting for me.

I stared at the car window as Mitsuri and Obanai we're happily chatting with each other like a cute married couple, gosh they make me feel even more single...I always adored their healthy married relationship as I knew that Obanai was one of the only people who could understand Mitsuri and love her for who she is which made me relieved that Mitsuri didn't marry a man who would treat her like his own useless housewife.

I finally got to my destination, got out of the car and waved goodbye to Mitsuri with my gentle smile that she always adored. As I was walking into the hospital, I bumped into Rengoku who was a friendly surgeon that was loved by all the female workers in the hospital..."Ah! hello Shinobu, sorry for bumping into you so sudden!" Rengoku said, with his biggest smile that was bright as the flaming sun.

I smiled gently at him and replied "that's alright Rengoku, but isn't your day off today?" I questioned him, he explained that there was a new staff member that he wanted to greet...he told me that this new staff member was adored and loved by all the female workers in the hospital, "Ara ara!~ do you know his name by any chance?" I asked politely, "Yes, I do know his name! His name is Giyuu Tomioka!" Rengoku replied as I started to ponder about his name...I felt like I heard this name before, although I decided to leave and waved goodbye at Rengoku before I left to my personal laboratory.

I clicked the elevator button and waited for the elevator to arrive at my floor, the 1st floor. As the elevator doors opened, I saw a tall gorgeous man inside the elevator with the most angelic ocean blue eyes, with the softest spiky black hair that was long and tied into a ponytail...my jaw dropped as I saw his name tag, "Giyuu Tomioka, specialising in Neurosurgeon and Medical Director" he was already a medical director?! He immediately grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the elevator before the elevator doors closed on me.

I immediately snapped myself back into reality and apologised to him, he was the perfect example of a man that a woman would die for...he glanced over at me with his dreamy blue eyes and nodded, the elevator doors finally opened on the 12th floor and he went out, I was flustered and covered my face with my medical clipboard to avoid attention from anyone who would question why I was red and burning.
