I yawn and stretch my arms
"I am now" i open my eyes and close them immediately from the sunlight.
"It's your brothers engagement party today. Athos is expecting us"
Shit!
" Can you give me like.. 5 more minutes of sleep?"
"It's 12 pm Nina"
Ugh! She mentioned my middle name
"Ok Miss Tella."
she just rolls her eyes and gets up, off the bed. She walks to my wardrobe and starts searching for something.
" What are you searching for Redhead?" i say yawning
She curls her lips like she just found a disgusting thing. "You have no extravagant dresses?"
"Haven't worn one ever except for the Galas.Even in social events i go in suits or if it's necessary a simple dress. And dresses aren't used a lot in the cage. Blood get on them" i say with a hint of sarcasm
"By the way can you check my bruise with some concealer and foundation? I don't want Aria and Mom to go nuts over it."
She just releases a breath " I wish you would have chosen dancing like Stella did as a hobby instead of getting your ass beaten 24/7. Aunt Greta is always so stressed when you go in the cage"
"I like it there. I can be as crazy as i want and i want to carry the family tradition."
"Sometimes i can't believe that this sweet girl has killed 16 men so far."
"They knew what they were signing for. Besides, i never kill honest people. The persons i fight to death with have deserved it. They shouldn't have underestimated me." i say shrugging
She sighs " That's always a mistake. Now come on. I'll give you one of my dresses. What colour do you prefer?"
"Black"
"Black it is then." she says rolling her eyes.
She presents me a long sparkly black dress that looks like my vibe and black platform heels as they are more comfortable. She applies blood red lipstick on my lips that she says will take three bottles of micellar water to smudge
She is wearing a orange sparkly long dress with a deep V. Athos told us to be as extra as possible cause nobody can top her dress. I believe her in that.
When we're ready it's 2 pm and we need to get going now so we can arrive to Thunder Bay in 4 pm.
New York City is 1 hour away from Meridian City and 1 and a half from Thunder Bay depending on the traffic. Lucky for us we are on time. We get out of the car and head to St.Killians.
Nobody is home except the decorators, Athos and Mrs.Fane.
Guess we are early!
Athos opens the door for us and hugs us both.
"You guys live further than any of us and still you showed up the first" she looks at us " You guys look gorgeous."
"Trust me! Nobody will be able to outshine the bride tonight." Donna says
"That's for sure!" i say
"You guys are the sweetest. Where is Aria, Myers?"
My younger sister.
"She's coming with mom, and aunt Marcella but i guess they're caught in the traffic."
She gives me a smile and Mrs.Fane comes and greets us.
She takes my arm and starts walking with me through the hall
