I hear the door slam hard.

Me and Dorian stomp on our feet from when we hear the sound. Dorian's face twists with fear, taking my hand and taking me upstairs fast to our mothers room.

Mommy isn't here. She's at the neighbours house with Niko talking with someone.

Dorian opens the closet and puts me in.

"Don't come out until i tell you Nina." he says scared .

He kisses my head and closes the doors.

Fear is nipping at my bones.

I hear feet stomping up the stairs and the next moment the door is slammed open.

"Get away from us!" Dorian yells

"You little shit. Don't worry! You are last. Your mothers weakest spot is her. I gave you two to her and i'll take you back". I hear dad shoving Dorian aside

My heart is beating so fast.

I touch something cold and see that it's a gun. Why would mommy hold a gun?

The closet is shoved open making me flinch and my dad gets on the ground, on my eye level and smiles. It's not a smile of happiness but of hatered. He opens a pocket knife and before i say anything he shoves it in the side of my abdomen. I scream loud and see Dorian shoving him off me.

But dad holds him on chokehold and my brother starts turning blue.

No!

I almost faint by the pain but take the gun on my hand and without looking good, i shot in direction of my father hitting him in the area of the lungs i think.

Dorian escapes his chokehold and gasps for air. Gasping for air, he runs to me and starts pressing my wound and shouting for help. Our father is choking on his own blood before i faint

"Nina wake up. It's a nightmare." Dorian says hugging me.

I gasp and get up quickly and realise i was crying.

Fucking flashbacks!

Dorian asks me "Flashbacks?"

"Yeah"

Dorian didn't remember all the details of everything but i did. Every single one of them.

After that i saw a therapist and was diagnosed with Complex- PTSD

If the knife had gone and inch closer to the left, i would have had to get a hysterectomy.

He would have been taken away from me the choice of having children.

Dorian and me don't have the same father as Niko and Aria.

Our mother was pregnant with Niko when she was 18 and his father had left for war. When Niko was 5, our mother was forced to marry Niko's uncle after they thought his father was dead.

A year later, Dorian was born and two years later i was born. Our father was abusive to our mother even though she tried to hide it. 8 years later Niko's dad returned and mom asked for a divorce. The result of that is the murder attempt our father did.
