Tuesday

I continue my efforts to get Kayden to feel something.

I'm not giving up on him.

He'll warm up to me someday.

I saw it in his eyes the first time we met.

His eyes though cold were beautiful like snowflakes on a dark night.

I could see that we wanted this.

Us.

As much as me.

I just know it.

If he hated me that much he would've rejected me by now.

But he didn't.

That's got to count for something.

I smile at him every time I see him in the packhouse or while just passing by.

Today is the day that I have to go to the pack hospital.

"Are you ready to go?" Amy asks as she stumbles a bit trying to zip her boot.

"Do you need some help?" I ask.

She's seriously struggling.

"Nope, got it." She says standing up, a bit breathless.

She grabs my hand before leading me out through the door.

Since I'm not familiar with the territory, Amy volunteered to be my guide.

She is currently taking me to the hospital.

I see a few shops pass by, I even notice a few playgrounds.

Some kids were even drawing by the sidewalk.

I smile looking at the wonderful scenery.

The rumours I guess were not true.

This pack is not like a military ground, people here are happy in their own little world except Kayden of course.

I walk through the huge front door of the hospital taking in my surroundings.

I immediately notice that the ER section has way too many patients lined up and one frantic doctor-nurse duo moving here and there.

They seem overwhelmed.

I venture over to the children's section.

My god, this part of the building is even sadder than the main section.

The dull wallpaper creates a gloomy environment.

My god, working here must be depressing.

Other than that, the equipment seemed sufficient.

The doctor's capability was also up to par.

I even helped out in the ER before leaving the hospital.

Amy needed to leave because she had a fashion related emergency.

I have no idea where she went, she mentioned something about a boutique or something.

I walk out of the hospital, goosebumps immediately rising up on my skin due to the chilly crisp wind.
