Aurora pov

I was woken up by someone shaking me frantically.

I was now in my bed instead of the corridor.

How did I get there?

The last thing I remembered was the fight.

I blinked a few times before my view finally cleared up.

I saw William sitting by the bed who immediately sighed out of relief seeing me awake.

His eyes were still watery and his face was laced with worry.

"What happened, ro-ro?" He started in a low tone.

He seemed so disappointed.

I opened my mouth to say something but another wave of the burning sensation overcame me and I started to cough and fell back on the bed.

His eyes immediately widened and he quickly brought me a glass of water.

I greedily drank it.

He pressed an ice pack against my forehead.

"Why didn't you tell me you found your mate, ro-ro?" He asked, he looked hurt.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't sure how you would react."

My voice came out weak.

He sighed.

"Who could it possibly be that I would mind it? You always come first, ro-ro."

Tears brimmed at my eyes.

No.

I have been crying too much.

And everything that was happening was because of that jerk.

He didn't deserve my tears.

"That day in the office, were you upset because of your mate?" He asked and I nodded.

"So you lied to me." He said, checking my temperature.

"Why didn't you tell me then? What would have happened if some other unmated male had found you like that in the hallway? I can't even imagine what would have happened then...." He trailed off.

I looked down in shame.

He was right.

Though he was unmated being my brother the scent didn't affect him.

But if any other unmated wolf would have smelled the scent of my heat he would have marked and mated me then and there.

Will saved me.

I couldn't even focus on my regret as another wave of pain washed over me and I curled up because of the pain.

I must have looked pathetic.

Will stood up clearly worried.

He walked around as if unsure of what to do next?

"Ro-ro, you're burning up. Please tell me who it is. Only he can comfort you now."

I stayed silent unsure of how to defend my actions if he found out who it is.

There would be too many questions that I would have to answer.

I didn't want to do that right now.

Not now.

Not ever.

I wanted to forget Kayden.

"I promise I won't pester you with any questions. Just tell me who it is." He said, clearly understanding my conflict.

"Kayden." I muttered softly.

He seemed shocked before he said.

"I'll be back in a few minutes. Here take this." He passed me an ice pack which I immediately hugged appreciating the cold sensation.

He hurried out.

I know that I should be worried about the conversation that was about to go down between them but I couldn't bring myself to care about anything.

I got up on the bed and crawled my way towards the side table where I drank some more cold water.

But it did nothing to help my state.

I hated feeling like this.

Suddenly I heard the door slam open.

My back was facing the door.

It must be Will.

But, didn't he go to get Kayden.

I didn't smell him.

I turned a little to see behind.

My eyes immediately widened in shock seeing a warrior standing there, his eyes filled with lust.

I went as far as away from him on the other side of the bed.

My limbs groaned as I got up.

I could probably take him on any other time but I was too weak right now.

He came towards me blinded by the scent radiating off of me.

No.

This couldn't be the way I lose my virginity.

I looked around for any possible weapon.

I saw a vase which I quickly grabbed and smashed on his head.

While he was recuperating from the hit, I took the keys of my car and immediately jabbed it in his ribs.

He stumbled a bit, from the pain.

For a warrior he really sucked at a sudden attack.

And I quickly moved towards the door but before I was able to open it he grabbed me by my ankle making me fall onto the ground.

I shrieked but no one came.

I tried to punch him but that only spurred him on.

I was now laid on the ground with him towering over me.

I did the next best thing I could think of and I kicked him in the nuts gathering all my strength.

It wasn't that hard a kick because I felt like shit.

If that man, who by the way looked like the beast from beauty, thought he could take advantage of me he was going to learn the power that beauty held.

I swung another kick towards his nuts.

It gave me enough time to scramble up and open the door.

I tried to run out but immediately crashed into a rock-hard chest.

I looked up and saw Kayden.

His eyes were gold and his jaw was clenching repeatedly.

His eyes flickered between me and the shit-head behind me holding onto his nuts for dear life.
