POV: TOBIN

We ran through the doors of the hospital. The ambulance had already arrived, so I ran to the lobby.

"Leah Morris, where is she?", I shouted to no one in particular

"Is she okay?", Ashlyn shouted after me

"Family of Leah Morris?", a doctor called out

"YES! That's us right here", Ali answered him immediately. God she's quick.

"Uhm, all of you?", he asked, a little taken back. There were twenty of us waiting for an update, I think he doesn't see that everyday. Luckely, before anyone could answer that, he recomposed himself.

"Right, follow me please"

We followed him to another room where he gave us more info.

POV: ASHLYN

"Ms. Morris-"

"Please call her Leah, she hates last names", I told him with a sad smile. Ali tightened her grip on my arm because she knew it was true. Remembering little things of her such as this one were hurtful now. The doctor smiled at me.

"Leah, she's fine. She had a lot of water in her lungs, but we emptied her stomach. She will have to stay the night, but other than that, she is totally fine", he continued

Everybody that was here let out a sigh of relieve, except for Tobin. She left the room with her head down.

"Hey babe, I'll be right back okay?", I told Ali and gave her a kiss. She nodded because we were thinking the same thing: Tobin blames herself.

"Hey Tobs, wait up!", I called out to her but she wouldn't stop

"Tobin, wait, damn it!", I tried again

"Ash, leave me alone please", she shouted without looking back

"No, you don't get to do this, not now. She needs us Tobs, all of us. If you want to feel bad, do it later but right now Leah is laying alone in a room she doesn't know. We need to be there for her now, she almost died for God's sake!", I ranted to her

"You think I don't know that?! I was the damn reason she's in here in the first place! She doens't want to see me", she said while looking me right into the eyes

"Tobin, listen to me please. Leah needs us. She needs you"

"I'm sorry, Ash, I can't go in there"

"Just promise me you will at some point. Even if it's not now, she needs to know that you're here for her. That you at least made the effort to come see her"

"I'll try", she said sadly. I gave her a hug and she cried silently on my shoulder.

"She's fine, Tobs, she is okay. Don't blame yourself, this could've happen to any of us. Nobody knew she can't swim"

She nodded and with that she exited the hospital. I made my way back to the rest of the girls. They were all getting ready go in Leah's room to see her.

"Tobin?", Ali asked on behalve of everyone. I shook my head but didn't say anything. She exhaled, but went in anyway. Soon, the rest of us followed.

"Leah, girl! How are you?", our squirrel shouted, of course

POV: TOBIN

I was walking through the streets and I was thinking about all of this. What was I doing? Leah needs me right now, Ash is right. I turned back but then I saw her face flash before my eyes. I shut my eyes and tried to forget the events.

Me holding Leah while the both of us were laughing.

Her trying to cover up her mistake.

Me saying thank you. Then throwing her in the water.

Her drowning.

Me jumping in after her.

"Get yourself together Heath", I said to myself. I was being a dumb asshole. Leah is the one that almost drowned. What am I doing, making myself the victim?

I turned back around to the hospital and ran inside. I walked in the hallways because the nurses were already looking mad at me. I arrived at her room and was that everyone was inside. Just go in, I said to myself.

I opened the door and all their faces turned to look at me. Then they began smiling softly.

"Toby, you're here", Leah said

How much I hate that name, I couldn't be mad at her. Not now, not ever. I walked over to her bed and I saw that Carli was busy getting everyone out of here. I nodded discreetly at her to thank her before I turned my attention back at Leah.

"Of course I'm here, I'm so sorry Leah", I told her and I couldn't stop my sniffles. It was hard for me to see her in such a fragile state, the state I caused.

"Please don't be, I should've just told you guys I'm afraid of water", she said

"If you don't mind me asking, how come you can't swim?", I asked carefully. I know she doens't like to talk about her past.

"I learned how to swim when I was young, I just don't have a lot of good experiences with water so I guess I kind of froze? I don't even know what happened exactly but I'm here now. We're here and that's all that matters", she answered

"I'll just tell you, because you need to stay the night. We know you are a Swiftie so we made a couple calls. She was going to sing at your party later tonight. We also got a hold of Adele", I told her

"You got to be kidding me? Are you serious?", she asked in disbelieve

"Maybe we can arrange for them and come sing here instead? I'll try to-", I rambled

"Tobs, it's okay. The thought was very nice but we can't have everything. At least let them know it's no longer happening before they come and sing in an empty room", she disrupted me while laughing at the thought of that

I snorted because I can imagine seeing those two actually sing in an empty room.

"Wanna prank anyone?", I asked her, and the good mood was back

POV: ASHLYN

She's okay. She's alive and breathing.

"You okay?", Ali asked me

"I'm fine, are you?", I asked out of concern

"Yes, yes I'm fine", she reassured me

"Hey, did you see Alex by any chance?", I asked

"Now that you mention it, I don't think I've seen her since we came down here. You think she came with us?", she said

"I thought I saw her come with us, yes. Maybe she's just in the cafetaria getting some food or something. You know how she is, especially in hospitals!", I said to lighten up the mood a little bit

POV: ALEX

I am going to kill her. Tobin. I am going to kill Tobin.

I paced around in the cafeteria because I needed to get myself some food. I always need food or something else when I'm in a hospital.

I love Leah like she is my daughter. We have that special connection, you know? The first moment that I saw her, it was like the both of us just knew. Now, Tobin almost took her away from me.

Of all people, it had to be her. The girl I'm so hopelessly in love with. Of course she's together with Christen. It's almost like she acts like this to hurt me on every aspect possible. At least thanks to Leah I know now. That slip up was cute, but didn't go unnoticed.

I still need to go see her, my daughter.
