Ever wonder how it feels to wake up one day, spending your time with things you most enjoyed doing? It's a question I've always had in mind ever since I discovered what I want to become and how I want my life to be like. It's really nice to hear that people nowadays are freely enjoying the life they wanted for themselves. Unfortunately I'm not one of them. My life's been revolving around things that the universe throws me. I'm stuck doing the same thing almost everyday.

"Loraine, you've been there for ages. Don't you have plans coming here?" I heard Riza calls out for me outside whereas I expect everyone's very busy.

We run a small diner located in a small town where people in the city barely know about. Well, I guess I should say my dad and my step mum, Riza owns this, which gives me zero chances of being entitled of owning something under my parents, and that makes it even more realistic.

There's no much to see in this place to be honest and the opportunity is very poor that we have to get on things that we have now, and that's exactly what makes me want to ran off this place and live the life I've always dreamed of. That was a pretty hard core idea and not even a twenty years old girl could even pull that idea, so that's why I came up with this irrational decision that probably would change my life.

I shouldered my gig bag, grab on my backpack and then my suitcase before I finally came outside from my room. I wasn't really expecting for attention, not only that they never really did pay attention to me but because everyone is busy that they didn't quickly notice me standing there the whole time.

"The princess is here." I looked over to my step sister, Alma who just paused from wiping the table to give me the sarcasm she'd loves to throw on me.

"What are you still looking at? You'd better get to work now. It's weekends and we're expecting lots of costumers today so better be useful at least." Riza said but then paused to have a second look at me. "You didn't tell us you'll go on vacation this weekend? Nice try but better change into your clothes. Customers gonna be here any moment."

I remain standing, looking around the place when my eyes landed over to my other step sister, Lucy who's looking curious and confused at the same time. I know lots of questions running through her head as she looked at me.

"Hey! Do you want me to repeat what mum said?" Said Alma.

"No need. I'm leaving." It was the moment I was finally able to talk, which made them paused from what they're doing to spare a glance on me. My dad, who just entered, had probably heard what I said just now. "I've made up my mind. I'm gonna leave this town."

"You're leaving for what?"

"I decided to leave this town and pursue my dream of becoming a song writer in the city." I said with confident and turns out to be a joke to them.

It was really hard to take in their laughter but what's more difficult is to see my dad had no reactions to it at all.

"And you really think that's how easy it's gonna be?" Riza asked while trying to restrain from laughing at my remark.

I shook my head and say, "No, but that's something I'm willing to risk now." I said and looked to my dad who seemed have no plans of talking. "I know I could do better than be stuck in something I don't want to be doing anymore."

My eyes flicked back to Riza as soon as my dad avert his gaze from me, and I saw how Riza raised an eyebrow.

"Well good luck on your dreams. Do whatever you want. Write as many songs as you pleased. Not like you're a big loss to this family."
