A long silence occured just after I finished singing the song I wrote. I saw how Gray, Matt, and Clyde exchange glances amongst each other before they bring their attention back at me.
"Aren't you gonna say anything?"
They snapped as though they just got back to present.
"Well, not bad not bad." Gray said as he grab the lyrics from my hands.
"C'mon, just admit it was a good one?"
"Are we talking about your voice?" Matt asked and I roll him my eyes. But they just laughed.
"To be honest... you're doing great." My ears perked up at what I heard from Gray. "Almost close to our standard but we're getting there. You're doing really I must say." I can't contain the smile on my face with what I heard. I still can't believe I was doing great.
"Do you think it'll make your friend sing again?"
They all looked at each other before Matt replied, "Only him could tell."
I can't wait to give this song to Rafa. I'm just excited and it makes me really happy that I'm actually doing better and my hard work's actually paying off now. Just thinking about what more I can do excites me as much as I have been in the past, but now that I mentioned it, there's just something that makes me feel a little off.
Now I understand what these boys meant before with my writing. And looking back to how my writing was from now, I could totally tell I had improved.
Suddenly, the smile on my lips dropped and I heave out a sigh before I lean back against the couch.
"Are you okay?" I looked at Clyde who's been looking at me the whole time. I could tell by his face how he got curious to my sudden change of mood.
"Yeah. Just been thinking about something lately."
"About what?" I stare at Grey for a while before I think about the question I had in mind lately.
"Do you know what's going on with Rafa?" They looked at me for a while as though they have to think about my question one more time.
"What do you mean?" Clyde asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know. He's acting different lately. I mean... he always does but, he doesn't feel like the same. I haven't really seen him very often and I just can't think about other reasons anymore."
"It's no new to Rafa." Matt said after a moment of silence. "Maybe he's just going through something."
"Shouldn't we be bothered by that?"
"On the clear side, I don't think there is a need for that. And if you don't know Rafa, he doesn't likes someone barging into his life. He pretty much could handle it himself. Not like he's never been to something rough in his life before. I'm sure he'll get through it just like how he handle what happened to Alicia before."
"Alicia?" I wondered with my brows knitted in confusion.
I saw how their eyes went wide as they began exchanging quick glances before bringing their eyes to me as if they have seen a ghost or something with the expression painted on their faces.
"Hey, you know what? Let me hear your work again. I think I have some suggestions to your verse." Matt then told me as he grab the paper from my hand.
"Do you wanna go grab something?" I bring my glance up to see Clyde infront of me. And I didn't have to think again and follow his strides outside. And I wasn't talking even until we're inside his car. "Don't worry, Rafa's going to be fine." He give my back a few tap before he starts the engine.
