I was still thinking about what Gray has told me yesterday. I can't think of reasons why he want me to come to Clyde's house, and why would he invite me to go to a house he doesn't own. That guy must be fooling around.
The weather is pretty good today, that I kinda feel motivated for deliveries.
I just got back from my third delivery for today when I entered the diner and saw Bea smiling at me.
"What's up with that smile?" I asked Bea as I reached for her at the counter. She didn't say anything and was smiling at me the whole time I was trying to figure what happened to her. "What's going on?"
"Someone's looking for you." She said and before I could ask, I looked over to where her eyes slide. I was surprise to see Clyde.
He was sitting with a slice of pizza on his table. I didn't know how long he was looking our way until he wave his hand and gave me a smile.
"He's been waiting for you." Bea was sounding excited as she leaned forward.
"What? Why?"
"I should be the one asking you that question." She raised her brows at me. I think I know what she could possibly be thinking right now and I know she's got a lot of questions running through her head.
I gave Bea a one last look before making my way to Clyde who just took a sip from his drink. He sit up straight when I appeared in front of him.
"Hey, I don't know you're here." I was trying my best to sound as casual as I could.
"Uh yeah. I thought you weren't here too," He scratches the back of his neck. "I mean, you mentioned you work here so I thought maybe I could drop by. " He said and I smiled while I cross my arm behind my back.
"I heard you're looking for me?"
"Oh yeah. It's nothing important. I just came to see you. We haven't seen each other for a while, you know." He said and he looked down at his pizza. I watched as how he finished his last bite before turning his head back at me. "And your pizza's really good. I think I might come here again."
I don't know if it's just me or this conversation is getting a bit awkward. I mean, we usually talk casually and normal but today feels different. I just don't know why.
"I'm glad you like it. You must try some of our different flavors."
"Sure I will." He said and I smiled.
"Oh, you're leaving already?" I asked when he stood up as soon as he finished the last bite of his pizza.
"Yeah, I just really came here to visit." I nod my head but before he could even take a step, he looked me in the eyes and asked, "Do you have plans tomorrow?"
I stared at him for a few beats before shaking my head. "W-why?"
"I just want to invite you to my house." My eyes squinted. And before I could even ask him another question, his phone starts blaring. "I have to go now. I'll see you tomorrow." Was the last thing he said before leaving without letting me say another word.
I didn't get to catch up with him as he seemed to be in a rush. Suddenly, I feel Bea bumped me on my shoulder as soon as Clyde disappeared from my vision.
"And why are you talking to Clyde like you knew each other?" She's looking at me like I just commit a crime.
"I don't see anything wrong with that."
She let out an exasperated sigh and sent me a look of disbelief. "Seriously? That's Clyde Anderson if incase you don't know."
"I knew who he is. And I don't see anything wrong talking to someone famous like him."
