I wasn't aware how long I've been thinking about the conversation I had with Rafa. It's been a week since the last time I saw him. And ever since I haven't stopped thinking about everything he told me that night. I haven't seen him or even know how is he doing now.
I still had in my mind everything my Uncle told me that same day. And everything still confuses me, right from what he told about dad and how he wants me to give up on my dreams. I don't know why and how's he saying that to me but I know for sure that's not what he really meant by that. And not like that would stop me from doing what I've already start with. Instead that made me a lot more motivated than I have been.
Sunday morning, I decided to come visit Clyde. I started scanning the area as soon as I stepped in the music shop when I hear footsteps coming.
"Do you need anything?" I looked to my side where I saw Gray making his way towards me.
"What are you doing here?" His brow arched at my question.
"What do you mean? This is a shop. What do you expect me to do?"
"Ohh, so you also work here now?" I said, making his face drop serious.
"Really?" He pointed to his outfit. And I bit on my lip as I tried to refrain myself from laughing. "So you really think this face is what you would want people be serving? i'd be the hottest employee if I happens to work here."
"If you say so." Was the only thing I said which makes him shot me another serious look. "Is Clyde here?" I asked before he could even say another word. He sighed before leaning against the counter.
"He's not here yet. But he would be here in a minute." I simply nod my head in response but that didn't refrain him asking another question. "Why'd you looking for him though? What do you need from him?"
I shake my head and walk up to the instruments displayed to my side. "Nothing really. I just thought maybe I could drop by and say hello. And also just gonna check around here." I could see him nodding from my peripheral vision as I check on the guitars.
I really have nothing serious matter to be here. I just thought it's been a while since the last time I've talked to Clyde and I feel like I kinda want to have a little talk with him.
"Loraine..." He mumbles my name with familiarity after a few minutes of being silent. Although I was busy looking at the guitars, I know he was looking at me the whole time I was wondering around the shop. That's why I didn't get surprised when I swift my eyes to his way.
"Yes?"
"Are you hitting on Clyde?"
His question made me pause from checking on the guitar so I could send him a confused look. "What are you talking about? Where'd you even get that thought?"
"C'mon, it's okay. There's no need to deny it. You can tell me the truth. I mean, Clyde only seemed like have a little strange types but that's not my concern anymore?"
"First of all, what is that even supposed to mean?"
"Just tell me the truth. Not gonna judge you or Clyde. I know my friend could really pull anyone so I can't blame you."
My mouth went agape as I started shaking my head slowly. "Jesus, no I'm not hitting on Clyde." I said and he snigger. "He's just a friend."
"Friend? Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Clyde really don't share much about his life mostly his love life."
"Seriously? I know I'm pretty but what makes you think I was hitting on him?"
