I was looking forward of meeting Rafa today. He didn't say he would come but not that he had choice. I would still force him to come if I have to. I just hope he really would appear today. I had so many things I'd like to tell him and be able to work on with.
When I arrived at the café, I decided to order a coffee as I settled on an empty table while waiting for Rafa. I told him to meet me at three and there's still few minutes remaining until three. I don't have his number but I hope I won't make use of his contact.
My order arrived just after I looked for it. I started taking sip on my coffee as I wait for Rafa. I would constantly look at the entrance everytime new customers would arrive but none of them was Rafa.
I just seated there with my coffee, not realizing twenty minutes had passed since three strike and yet, there's till no signs of Rafa.
For a moment I was kinda hopeless. I don't want to jump into conclusion yet but maybe he wouldn't really come.
I was in the middle of despair when I heard the door chimes. And as if I forgot I just waited for about twenty minutes the moment Rafa appeared on my vision. He was standing from where he entered while started scanning the area.
I didn't realize how wide the smile etched across my lips was the whole time I was looking at him. And when I finally did, excitement washed over me.
"Rafa!" I stood from my seat and soon realizes how loud my voice was now that people are looking my way. "Sorry." I said before bringing my attention back at Rafa who's now looking at me.
I waved my hands but he just roll his eyes before walking up to my place.
"I thought you would not come." I've been looking at him in disbelief but he didn't seemed to care as he only takes a seat across from me.
We exchange glances for a while before asking, "What do you want?"
"Don't you want to get something to drink first?"
"No need. I wasn't even supposed to be here right now. You left last night without letting me speak. Just wanted this conversation to end." I was only looking into his face the whole time he was talking.
Now he just got back to that Rafa who seemed to be always mad at everything around him. It's strange that I'm getting used to it now.
"Well, I'm just glad that you're here." I said as he gets a little more calmer this time.
"Just say whatever you want to say." He sounded defeated right now as he leaned back against the couch with both his arms cross his chest.
I clasped my hand and learned forward with the widest smile I could muster. "Let's write song together."
My words didn't seemed to process in his head right away that it took him a few beats before he reacts. "What?"
"Well, you asked me if I'm still willing to learn from you? And my answer would be yes. See, I have been thinking about it for a while, and now that I see a chance, so why don't I take advantage to it now? I mean, you told me you can't write a song but you pretty much have insights how to. And with my help, who can write songs but don't have that much knowledge, we'll make song together that the world would want to hear."
"Are you even serious right now?" He asked and I nodded my head with confidence.
"All you have to do is tell me what you feel or what you want that song to look like and I'll turn it into masterpiece." His moth went agape as he look at me in disbelief.
"You know what? That's shitty."
"What shitty? I'm trying to negotiate with you here. I mean, soon you'll gonna sing my song anyways."
