An alarm blaring at 9:30 in the morning is not what anyone wants to hear on their summer break. For Maddie, it's the final alarm for work.

It's the last week of freedom for her until she is off to college. Is she excited? Absolutely. Is she also petrified? Absolutely. Yet she has no reason to be, she got a full-ride scholarship on her own. She worked for it. She deserves it.

She's still in bed as her phone dings.

She rolls her eyes and closes her phone. She and Taehyung decided to pick up an early shift for their last day of work until they come back from college. They both have packing to do and would rather not work late and have to pack the next morning.

She gets in the shower and in 20 minutes she's out. Putting on her work uniform which consists of black leggings, a long sleeve black shirt, and comfortable shoes.

She knows you're not supposed to wear leggings to work, but who is gonna check her? Try wearing skinny jeans in a hot restaurant while standing all day.

Her phone rings this time, and it's nobody other than Taehyung.

"I'm outside you better get out here or I'm leaving your ass behind," he says drowsily.

"It's quite literally only 10 Tae. Not even that early." she replies as she grabs her purse and apron.

"Well it's summer and it's early enough for me. I had to grab a monster so I could attempt to be awake today."

"Whatever, I'm coming out now."

She hangs up as she leaves her house, closing the door and locking it on her way out.

Parked outside in front is Taehyung. They work the same job, so why not just ride together?

As Maddie approaches the car, Taehyung looks her up and down and sucks his cheek. He loves how she looks in all black.

He sips on his drink and unlocks the door for her.
"About time." He says as she enters the car.

"Whatever, you're dramatic as hell," she says smiling at him.

He knows she wasn't even late, he just loves messing with her. It's part of his daily routine.

She grabs the aux cord and plays her music. Specifically some Bryson Tiller. As the drive progresses they conversate.

"I hope you get fired for that outfit." he jokes as he looks at her, knowing good and well he will never get over how good she looks in it.

"Oh please. If I get fired you're coming right along with me, sneaking food every time you're back there." she rebuttals as he chuckles at the comment.
