"Are you guys still on your way? How far are you from Jimin's house?"

Maddie talks into her speaker as she pushes a cart full of goods to the self-checkout line with Ziora.

"Apple maps says we'll get there at like 6:30. That's more than enough time," Aaliyah tells Maddie.

Maddie begins to speak before she hears Jimin's voice.

"Maddie, we are going to be there tomorrow. Stop worrying so much, everything will go according to plan." Jimin tells his younger friend. "You guys are made for each other I swear." He mumbles.

"Okay okay I'm sorry, I just wanted to double check. Drive safely and let me know when you guys get to Jimin's."

"Will do."

Maddie hangs up the phone and walks to the available space. Scanning the items from the cart she sees her cousin staring at her from the corner of her eye.

"Ziora what are you looking at me like that for?"

"Nothing, you guys are just cute. Like, look at you, all in love. I could honestly cry." Ziora tells her cousin, wiping imaginary tears from her eyes.

Maddie tucks her lips in her mouth as she hides her smile. She does love him. That's why she's so happy to be doing this for him. He's done so much these past few months and it's the least she could do to make up for it.

"It is his birthday. And I know he misses Jimin and Aaliyah. What are they even doing right now?" Maddie asks, bagging the final item from their shopping trip and putting it into the cart.

"I think they're playing the game at Taehyungs. Keep talking about some damn lego fortnite." Ziora says, pushing the cart as they exit. "But Khalid said let him know when we're on our way back so y'all can set the stuff up in his room."

The plan is for Maddie and Khalid to decorate Taehyung's room later tonight. Maddie was going to originally do it herself but Khalid said he'd like to do something for Taehyung as well.

Boyfriends at this point.

"Tell him we're on our way back now then."

They walk to Ziora's car, putting the items in the backseat. It's a bit warmer outside today, and it's supposed to reach at least 50 tomorrow. It's decent weather.

As Ziora drives back to their home, Maddie feels the excitement doubling inside of her the closer they get. She has it all planned out. Surprise him tomorrow morning, go to the museum in the afternoon, and then eat dinner and cake later on. Nothing too big or too small, it's just a chill day for a chill person.

Once Ziora parks in her driveway, she unbuckles her seatbelt and checks her phone.

"They said they'll be here in a bit, do you have everything you need in here?" She asks her younger cousin.

"Yeah. Let's just put this little stuff up." Maddie says, quickly getting out of the car and grabbing the sheet cake from the backseat along with a couple of bags. Ziora grabs the rest and they're able to get everything in one sweep.
