Maddie wakes up from her sleep. Wiping the drool from her mouth and the crust from her eyes, she checks the time on her phone.

It's 11am, and by the looks of it, she's in for a big headache today. She sits on the edge of her bed, playing with her rings, letting her thoughts plague her as she remembers why she even drank in the first place.

She let her emotions get to her. She could cry all over again at the thought. She exhales through her nose and decides to get up and shower, trying her best to distract herself.

She grabs a clean set of pajamas and her shower items before she opens her bedroom door. Stepping out to see Taehyung on her couch, scrolling on his phone.

He looks up from his phone as he feels her presence. He gives her a small smile as she appears.

"How'd  you get in here?"

"I kept your keys so l could lock the door before I left. I put them back on your kitchen counter though." he replies.

She nods and the two stare at each other for a minute, not knowing what to say. Maddie eventually breaks eye contact and walks to the bathroom. Taking a 20-minute shower she thinks about the past 24 hours.

Not only did she have to be taken care of by him last night, he's now in her suite, checking up on her in the morning like a sick child. It's a kind gesture that she appreciates but she can't help but wonder why he's doing it all of a sudden after ignoring her. What changed?

Her shower is eventually over and she brushes her teeth twice, wanting to get the nasty taste out of her mouth before she heads out for the day.

She walks out of the bathroom, over to the couch to sit down. Leaving a little space between them, she sits with her legs crossed on the couch.

Taehyung stares at her as she looks everywhere but at him. He can tell she's embarrassed, but that's not going to stop him. They need to talk.

"Take these, it's gonna help." he finally speaks, handing her pills and a bottle of water. "I got you some fruit this morning, I left it in the refrigerator because I figured you'd sleep in."

She opens the pills and grabs two as instructed, opening the bottle of water, taking a long sip as she swallows the pills.

Maddie can feel Taehyung staring at her. He hasn't taken his eyes off her since she sat on the couch. His face is mostly resting, but his eyes show concern as he looks at her. The two sit in silence for a while, exchanging glances.

"Why are you here Taehyung?" Maddie asks. Her voice is soft, nearly a whisper.

Taehyung looks down at her hands, watching her fiddle with the rings on her finger.

Knowing that she's anxious right now, he's thinking of the best thing to say to her.

"Because I still care about you, Maddie. Just because I stopped talking to you for a while doesn't mean I suddenly stopped caring." He tells her. "You've been looking so sad for the past two days. You even skipped class. I just want to know, is everything is okay with you?"

Maddie feels her eyes water at his words. Part of her just wants to be comforted and held, be told that she'll be okay.

Part of her feels guilty because she can only imagine a specific person doing it.
