Winter break was filled with nothing but positives. All the laughter, the smiles, the sleeping in and getting up when you feel like it. It was all so perfect, and everyone would agree when they said they needed the break.

After Taehyung's birthday, everyone celebrated New Year's with their families and partners. They all celebrated their loved ones and the arrival of a brand new start. After that they returned to their normal doings, like work and such, trying to make the most of their break.

Now back on campus for the new semester, the young adults prepare themselves for what's ahead of them. The new classes, the bigger workloads, it's going to feel brand new all over again.

It's the first Thursday since they've returned and all of them can feel it. They're not behind in classes but can tell they're a little rusty on the material being presented. That being said, they all decided to stay in the boy's suite to get work done and help each other.

Maddie lies on the couch with her textbook and Taehyung sits next to her, typing away on his computer. Aaliyah sits balled up in the chair next to the couch, writing on a piece of paper as Jimin rests his back on it.

Jimin scratches his head as he scans his textbook, re-reading a sentence with his finger for what seems like the 50th time in 4 minutes. He's trying desperately to understand but cannot for some reason. Giving up he sucks his teeth and closes the textbook, officially done for the night.

He looks at the couple on the couch and realizes Maddie is out cold, and she had to have been sleeping for at least 30 minutes now. The textbook is closed and a pillow is stacked on top of it as she lies on it, her mouth slightly agape.

"Taehyung," he whispers.

Looking away from his laptop, Taehyung turns his attention to his girlfriend sleeping, which he happens to find extremely cute.

"Have we been doing work for that long?" Aaliyah whispers.

Taehyung shakes his head, "Yes and no, it's been 3 hours now but she's been working on something for her section this week and it's taking longer than she thought it would. She said it was writer's block or something. Plus she hasn't been sleeping well I think."

"Why?"

"Just adjusting to the schedule I think. She was on my sleep schedule when we were back home."

Almost the entire break they hung out, and that meant staying up until 3 with Taehyung as he played games on facetime or as they watched their show together. Maddie didn't protest, she enjoyed every minute of it, but she is a person who will be in bed by 11 every night on her own.

The other couple nods and checks the time. It is kinda late and they're ready to sleep themselves.

"Well, goodnight then. I'll see you both later." Aaliyah says as she and her boyfriend stand up.

They kiss each other's lips, filling the room and their hearts with much-needed warmth. Aaliyah grabs her backpack and waves to Taehyung as she walks to the door. Taehyung tilts his head at her, wondering why she's not sleeping with Jimin today.

Already knowing what he's about to ask, Aaliyah playfully rolls her eyes. "I'm just trying to get back on my regular sleep schedule. We're fine Taehyung," she reassures him.
