Jaune was in the bullhead port, pacing back and forth. He was anxious for the arrival of his parents...Well, for the arrival of his mother. She's probably angry at him because he ran away to pursue his dream at Beacon.

With a worried tone, Jaune said, "What will I do? What do I tell her? How do I tell her that it was the only way? She wouldn't have let me go if I told her."

As Jaune was pacing back and forth, a bullhead arrived, and by the door window, he saw his mother looking at him intently. He thought, 'I am so dead! What do I do?'

When the bullhead touched down, and the doors opened, he was sure he would be scolded for doing something so stupid. However, that did not happen.

As the door opened, Jaune's mother, Joan, rushed to him, hugged him, and said, "Honey! How have you been? Why haven't you called once since coming to Beacon? I've been having to talk to Glynda to know about what is happening."

Jaune was apologetic and said, I'm sorry for not calling home. I was afraid that if I called, we would only talk about you telling me to come back home as being a Huntsman is much too dangerous, leading to us fighting. You know how much I hate it when we fight and argue."

Joan thought about it and said, "That's not too unreasonable of a deduction. But! When I heard from Glynda that you've been doing well and made a few friends, I stopped thinking of forcing you back home. She even sent me a video of you and your partner training on the rooftop. I thought my baby boy had finally grown up."

She then smirked and continued, "So, Glynda told me you've been smitten by a girl named Weiss Schnee."

Jaune sighed, "That was some time ago. I was rejected. She said that she was not interested in me."

Joan hugged her son, comforted him, and said, "There are plenty of fish in the sea. How about that partner of yours? She seems to be a terrific person."

Jaune raised an eyebrow and said, "Who? Pyrrha? Pfft! She is way out of my league."

Joan did not like seeing her son look down on himself, "You would never know unless you try."

She then sighed and continued, "I don't know what happened. When you were younger, you were confident and would shout that you would one day have a harem of awesome women. And you would go on all kinds of adventures ."

Jaune blushed and said, "I was a kid! I didn't know what I was saying. Although I still dream of it, I know it is unrealistic."

Joan giggled, "With your Jaune-ish luck? I don't think it's impossible at all. I bet there are many young ladies after your heart."

Jaune laughed as he thought his mother was joking, "Nice joke, Mom. But seriously, I'll be glad to have even a girlfriend."

Joan sighed at her son's lack of confidence. To change the subject, she said, "How about you show me your dorm? I want to see if my son lives in a decent place."

Jaune smiled and said, "Sure, follow me."

Jaune brought his parents to his team's dorm.

Once they arrived in the dorm, he said, "This is it. The dorm of JNPR."

When Joan saw the place, it was clean and tidy. It was almost as if there were no males in the room. She asked Jaune, "Are you the only guy on your team?"

Jaune nodded and said, "Yup! Lei, Nora, and Pyrrha are still in class, but they should be finishing up soon. I want to introduce you to them. You'll love them!"

Joan had this look that said, 'We'll see.'

Looking at the beds, only Jaune's bed wasn't made.

Joan said, "I see you still haven't learned to make your bed as soon as you wake up."
