It has been some time since Jaune arrived in his current world. He has done much research since then to try and head back. You see, his ability to open doorways to other worlds was not working as it should. According to the voice, there seems to be something blocking his way home, and it would take a while to analyse the issue. Being who he was, Jaune decided to take advantage of his circumstances. He has been going around the area eating, reading, watching, etc., to pass the time.

Of course, the moment Jaune arrived in this world, he had a few issues, but they were not important and were resolved quite easily, such as monetary needs, living requirements, etc. He even decided to enrol himself in school to learn new things, and he would be starting the next day.

At the moment, Jaune was in a Thai restaurant. He was having a meal as he watched the news. It was boring for the most part. Beside him were two people who lived in the same apartment complex he bought. It was a shame that it was a lot harder to buy land in the city. Otherwise, he would not have bought an apartment and would have built the same mansion he made in Orario.

"What's the matter? Thought you loved larb. It's too larby? Not larby enough. How many times do I have to say "larb" before you talk to me? You know I larb you," said the older one.

"I'm just stressed. The internship and I'm tired. A lot of work," said the younger one. Looking at his facial features, Jaune could tell he was younger than him.

"The Stark internship. I have to tell you, Peter, I'm not a fan of that Tony Stark. Distracted all the time...he's got you in your head," said the older. She was clearly worried about the young man before her.

A news report on the television behind ht older woman catches Peter and Jaune's attention.

"What does he have you doing? You need to use your instincts," said the older woman. She was ignoring the news.

"The beloved Queens' institution, Delmar's Sandwiches, was destroyed in an explosion earlier tonight after an ATM robbery was thwarted by Queens' colorful local crime-stopper, the Spider-Man. As the Spider-Man attempted to foil their heist, a powerful blast was set off, slicing through the bodega across the street. Miraculously, no one was harmed.

"If you spot something like that happening, you turn, and you run the other way," said the older woman. She could no longer ignore the news when it mentioned an explosion.

"Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course, May," said Peter. Jaune noticed subtle hints of lying. He was not familiar with the guy, but eye contact avoidance was a sign of lying. The young man then continued speaking, "Uh, May. I need a new backpack."

"What?" said May. She was confused. This was happening a lot.

"I need a new backpack," repeated Peter. He was nervous since this was not the first time he had asked for a new backpack.

"That's the fifth time you've asked me for a backpack," said May. She was now worried even more about her nephew. Looking to the side, she noticed Jaune eating alone. She recognised him.

"Hello. Are you the guy that moved next door to us?" asked May. She was sure she recognised him. His eyes, the way they shone and their vibrancy were something she would never forget when she first saw him in the hallway.

"I am. Name's Jaune Arc," replied Jaune. He met her once in passing. He did not mention his name, nor did he greet her. It was not like him, but he was not in the best mood at the time since he was frustrated due to being incapable of returning to Remnant.

"Sorry about the last time we met. I was a bit rude," added Jaune. Such an attitude was not what his mother had taught him. He was better than that.

"It's alright. I saw you were a bit frustrated at the time. We all have our bad days. I'm May Parker," said May. She chuckled a bit. She knew quite a bit about being frustrated, whether it was her job or other things.
