Jaune Arc - Dreamscape

Chapter 12

When Jaune returned, all the girls were already asleep on his bed. He did say that he would bring them to his dream. Well, it was only supposed to be Nora, Lei, and Pyrrha, but when Jaune sent his parents to the bullhead port, Jaune asked his team to explain it to RWBY. So, their being here meant they wanted to join.

Jaune told Illya she could take the other beds as he lay down with the others. As he fell asleep, he said, "Dream Connect!"

Everything was going well when an anomaly happened. It was weird. Dream Connect was only meant to connect people in Jaune's immediate vicinity, but they had a stowaway.

In the Dreamscape, Jaune saw his team and Team RWBY, along with Illya. Jaune was not expecting her to be affected, but it was understandable as she was not too far away from him.

Ruby said, "Jaune! Is this the Dreamscape?"

Jaune nodded at her, "It is, but it looks way different from before."

He knew there would be changes in the Dreamscape due to his evolution, but the differences were crazy. The city looked like it was repaired. The Zombies were gone, and a massive tower was in the city's center.

Jaune clarified, "This place looked like a ruin before, but now it looks like an abandoned city. And the Zombies lurking around are gone. Then there is that tower that wasn't there before."

Yang then interjected, "Okay! Before we get started, who are they?"

Jaune saw Yang pointing at Illya and another person with a light brown complexion and shoulder-length straight brown hair. She had a beauty mark below her left eye.

Jaune said, "This is Illya. She is a friend I helped. As for the other one, I have no idea who she is."

The woman said, "If you wanted to know who I was, you could ask. I'm Amber, by the way. And where are we?"

Jaune said, "We are in my Dreamscape...How are you here?"

Amber said, "I don't know. The last thing I know is Ozpin putting me inside a machine to save my life. How I got here, I have no clue."

Jaune said, "Ozpin? What happened?"

Amber told Jaune about power in the world that can be passed on from female to female. She said that she was hunted down because she held this power. However, before the power was stolen, Qrow saved her.

Ruby and Yang asked, "Do you mean Qrow Branwen?"

Amber replied, "Yes. He could keep the full power away from my attacker with his timely arrival."

Jaune was thinking. It didn't take long for him to deduce the power she was talking about, "You're talking about the power of the Maiden. I remember reading that story. If the story is real, then that means you can use magic."

Amber sighed and said, "That's right. But half of the power is gone. Taken by that woman. As for me, I'm in a state of being half dead."

Jaune wanted to do something to help her, but he didn't know if it'll work. But one thing is for sure; Amber was telling the truth. And giving his idea a shot was not a bad idea.

He brought out a Complete Recovery Herb and said, "I don't know if it'll affect your body back in the real world while consuming this here, but it's worth a shot. And if it doesn't work, I'll find your body and see if it can heal it."

Amber looked at the item Jaune gave her and asked, "What is that?"

Jaune replied, "It's called Complete Recovery Herb. As the name suggests, it is a legendary item that brings about Complete Recovery."
